How Bleed Esports Is Pushing the Esports Industry Forward

The sports industry has always been an exciting and thrilling one. Over the years, while categories such as extreme sports or winter sports were added to this segment, there was no major change. However, with the rise and popularity of online gaming and sports, the category of Esports has now started to rise and make its way into the mainstream sports industry. Bleed Esports is a club that looks to further push Esports out into the world, making it more accessible than ever.

Bleed Esports was founded in 2021 by Mervyn Goh. Since then, Bleed Esports has been the first Asian team in Valorant to import players from all over Europe and bring them into Asia. Bleed Esports is based in Singapore, which is also where their headquarters is.

Usually, all the best players based in Europe decide to stay there, but Bleed Esports has managed to bring some of the best players from Europe into Asia. Bleed Esports has also seen some notable accomplishments and career highlights. These include ranking third place in VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers, all while the club was just 5 months old.

Moreover, Bleed Esports was also in second place in VCT 2022: Malaysia & Singapore Stage 1 Challengers. Their finest achievement so far, Bleed Esports, has secured the first position in SEA Esports Championship 2021 as their Singaporean Qualifier.

Bleed Esports has been able to recruit the former G2 Esports player Jacob “Pyth” Mourujärvi to the team. The Swedish Counter-Strike Global Offensive player is well known for some of his techniques, and bringing him on board was another achievement for Bleed Esports. The player wrote in his tweet: “Happy to announce that I’m joining @ggBleed. I’m leaving Sweden in January and will be moving to Singapore and competing in the VCT Southeast Asia in 2022.”

Alongside Pyth, Bleed Esports also managed to sign another renowned Esports player, Max “Maxie” Lönnström, who will also be heading to Singapore. Bleed Esports has also been involved in events such as KJC Esports Invitational and the Esports Club Showdown. They achieved third and fourth place in the Esports Club Showdown in the B-Tier. Bleed Esports also achieved first place in the B-tier Bleed Esports Christmas Showdown. Along with these, the club has been involved in numerous other championships.

On Instagram, Bleed Esports has an impressive 18.4K followers, with a variety of content being shared, including game updates and updates on new and upcoming players joining the club. They also have over 6.4k followers on their Facebook page.

Bleed Esports founder Mervyn recalls how difficult it was to establish the club in the beginning. Players did not trust them, and they faced several challenges to get the recognition they deserved.

When talking about wisdom, Mervyn mentions that you can’t be afraid to start something new, which is evident with Bleed Esports. As for the future, Mervyn and the entire team over at Bleed Esports want to continue expanding its reach and getting more players. Finally, they look forward to turning Bleed Esports into a household name that every Esports player wants to become a part of.
