Azamat Boziev, known by his nickname Azrael, was born on June 4, 1986, and represents France. He is a professional MMA fighter representing Senshi no Kage. Throughout his career, he has also competed in K-1, Muay Thai, and kickboxing.
Boziev’s main achievement in MMA is his perfect professional record of 11–0. He has six wins by knockout or technical knockout and five by submission. In his most recent known professional fight, held on February 2, 2025, in Odesa, Azamat defeated Gustavo Wurlitzer by first-round TKO.
Titles Across MMA, K-1, and Kickboxing
Boziev is a FCFC K-1 World Champion and an MMA champion under the MAXIMUS and GITC promotions. He took the K-1 world title at FCFC 15 in Kyiv on May 23, 2026, stopping Kirill Medvedovsky, an Israeli champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai. He also holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Training happens at Senshi no Kage Beausoleil, a combat sports club in the south of France that develops competitors in MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai under coach Philippe Hao.
Beyond his competitive career, Boziev has promoted the idea of an “Absolute MMA World Champion,” a concept focused on determining the strongest MMA fighter regardless of promotion.
A Potential Step to the Next Level
The next stage of Boziev’s career could be a move onto the international MMA scene. According to available information, his BJJ professor, Haim Gozali, plans to hold negotiations regarding a potential contract for Boziev with the new organization created following the merger of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
Gozali is an MMA fighter known for competing in Bellator and BKFC, as well as being a representative of the Renzo Gracie lineage.
On July 30, 2026, PFL and MVP officially announced their merger. The new company operates under the MVP brand, with Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian joining its leadership.
Shortly after the merger announcement, PFL New York took place in New York City on July 31, 2026, at UBS Arena.
What a Contract With the New Organization Could Mean
For Boziev, a potential contract with the new international organization could represent a major step forward in his career. An undefeated 11-0 MMA record, championship titles in MMA and K-1, a BJJ black belt, and experience across multiple combat sports provide him with a strong foundation for competing at the international level.
At this stage, however, these are planned negotiations rather than a signed contract. If an agreement is reached, Boziev will have the opportunity to test his perfect record on the international stage and represent Senshi no Kage at the highest level of global MMA.
