Artist Connect App Serving as an Ecosystem for Creatives to Create and Collaborate

A talented person needs other talented people to amplify or support their talents and in many cases, finding talents that fit like peas in a pod is often challenging. During what was a work trip as an audio engineer to the SXSW Music Festival in 2016, Gibran Malik, aka KingSage, got the inspiration to create Artist Connect App, a platform that could bring creative people together to create.

The inspiration was borne out of the fact that KingSage’s recording artists kept asking him how they could meet other creative individuals that could complement them in one way or the other. “I saw these things very often as an audio engineer where artists went through hurdles and stress to get their projects done with the vision they had in mind. I was able to help many rappers and singers find the people they were looking for, and I can never forget the smiles on their faces seeing their dreams come true. That prompted me to create a more lasting and practical solution to the problem, and that brought forth the Artist Connect App,” Gibran Malik said.

Artist Connect was created to create a nationwide sense of connection in which artists find the right people and feel empowered enough to go after the talents they need to improve the quality of their art. The creative industry is too saturated for creatives not to be focused on delivering the best to their consumers. Through Artist Connect App, recording artists can connect with other professionals in the creative industry, create agreements, build resumes, and manage the creative aspects of their careers.

Since the app was launched, it has become one of the biggest and most popular applications among rappers, singers, audio engineers, DJs, photographers, videographers, models, graphics designers, among others. It is the perfect platform for everyone looking to earn a living from their talents and craft.

Artist Connect hit the ground running as the app gained almost 2,500 users by only engaging in grassroots promotion. Now, with plans underway to switch the promotions level up and creating a model where users can now pay to gain visibility on the app, Artist Connect is headed for the next level in its not-so-saturated niche.  Playing a significant role in community service, Artist Connect App is heavily involved in supporting and encouraging creative people dealing with mental health during the pandemic.

Artist Connect has been the much-needed solution for all creatives looking to turn their talents into a business and work with each other to bring their projects to life. The app targets musicians, audio engineers, photographers, videographers, models, graphics designers, makeup artists and many other creative talents. The app gives its members visibility so that potential new clients and collaborators can easily find them. Conversations within the app are also made into written and insured agreements to make sure every party holds up their ends of the bargain. The app also features other tools like income and expense sheets to track finances and save on tax at the end of the year. “We have many more useful tools coming soon to help manage and build our users’ careers. We genuinely care for our users and want them to succeed the best way they can, and the app has proven that in many ways,” Gibran Malik revealed.

In the next few years, his goal for Artist Connect is to be widely accepted by all creatives globally. “When someone says ‘I’m a creative,’ people will ask them, ‘How’s your Artist Connect profile look?’ And being a creative won’t be looked at as an unsure part-time stream of income; rather, it will be a full-time career option paved out and made possible with Artist Connect,” Gibran said.
