Manhattan Stories: Luxury Real Estate with Entrepreneur Kelly Robinson

Kelly Robinson is a senior real estate broker and founder of The Kelly Robinson Team. She has been selling luxury residential real estate in New York City since 2005.

When speaking of what attracted her to the luxury real estate industry, Kelly notes a passion for design from a young age. “[The attraction to the industry was the idea of] working for myself and the fact that I have always been interested in real estate and interior design since a very young age. I used to make my parents go to open houses when I was a kid and was always redecorating my bedroom.”

Kelly’s unique viewpoint is bolstered by a broad background in many areas of the real estate market, including resales, new construction projects, investor, and buyer representation.

This multifaceted knowledge continues to foster her sharp negotiation skills, consistently leading to record-breaking prices and loyalty amongst clientele. She specializes in working with high-profile individuals across the sports and entertainment sectors and is very protective of the need for discretion.

Kelly has been featured in multiple publications, including GQ, HGTV: What’s the Difference Between a Condo, Co-op, and Loft, Glamour, Harper’s, and FOX 5 News.

Kelly has also been featured as one of the Top 20 New York Real Estate Agents on Instagram to Follow.

Setting Herself Apart from the Competition

Kelly and her team specialize in finding off-market homes in a low inventory market and working with experienced luxury real estate professionals, renovating to increase value.

Other project specialties include rebranding previously unsold properties, consulting on layouts and finishes for new construction and private home renovations, staging, and advising cooperative boards on increasing value in a market that favors condominiums.

In consideration of the characteristics that have gotten her to this point in her career, Kelly attributes it to: “Hard work, dedication, and creativity. We approach everyone with kindness and empathy. I have an empathetic approach to negotiation, which is perfect for luxury residential sales, which are emotional transactions for both sellers and buyers. However, that doesn’t mean I am not shrewd and tough enough to get it done. It allows me to maintain strong relationships within my industry. There is a fine line.”

When it comes to luxury real estate in Manhattan, Kelly represents the best of the best. She is professional, knowledgeable, and always puts her clients first. Whether you are looking to buy or sell a property, Kelly is the agent you want on your side.

Kelly’s business is mainly referral-based and maintains a 97% client retention rate. She offers a data-driven approach (numbers don’t lie). In business, she goes way above and beyond to service clients, responds immediately, and sticks around for whatever the client needs after the transaction is over. Kelly is a certified negotiation expert and has studied the art of negotiation extensively, including how to negotiate with people from other cultures.

Kelly holds a BFA from Rutgers University’s highly selective Mason Gross School the Arts and furthered her education at NYU. She has won numerous awards and is NYRS and CNE designated. She is also co-founder of the EJR Scholarship Fund.
