Since dipping his toes into the industry, Scotty Austin has always had an incredible affinity for music. Hailing from Parsons, Tennessee, this self-starter began to take an interest in music when he started to play around with instruments in kindergarten while participating in the family band at church. At a young age, he was well-versed in playing a number of instruments, which fueled his spirit to delve deep into the trade. By the late 90s, Scotty started expanding his horizons and branching out to multiple styles, such as playing percussion instruments and performing classical guitar pieces. With this vast range of experiences he held under his arsenal, he soon earned a spot as the band leader of the official NASCAR Rolling Thunder band for an entire season while winning fourth place in the International Blues Contest representing Memphis, Tennessee. From then on, Scotty continued to bloom as a musician and went on to carve a path of his own.
Over the years, Scotty Austin has begun to cement a stellar reputation across the industry by producing numerous tracks that have captured the hearts of many listeners around the world. As a matter of fact, his distinct sound and expressive song lyrics have landed him a hit video game soundtrack with the band Supernova Syndicate for the smash hit game Dead Rising. He continued to hone his skills and worked with various producers and artists in Nashville, Tennessee, leading him to become the band leader for one of the city’s most prominent singer-songwriters, Jonathan Singleton. He was also asked to join Saving Abel, which sparked tremendous growth in his career.
Today, Scotty Austin continues to make waves in the music industry with the recent release of his new single entitled “Money.” The song was released by Stryker Records and produced by multi-platinum producer Malcolm Springer. It will be distributed by Ingrooves, a Universal Music Group company.
“Money” is a song that portrays the singer’s passion for music while demonstrating today’s society in a nutshell. Scotty Austin explained, “It’s about making fun of the greed in society right now. [It talks about] our politicians’ big spending. I pay taxes! They should go to more important things like mental health, drug addiction and other issues.” He added, “It’s how I see society now.”
Although passion has effectively fueled Scotty Austin to climb the summits of success, his dreams of becoming an artist would not have materialized had it not been for his persevering spirit. With no intentions of slowing down any time soon, he wishes to solidify himself even further in the industry one day. Above anything else, Scotty wishes to inspire hopefuls through his story.
