Nokki Cabrera Releases Her Sizzling Hot Debut EP Titled “Trap Salsa” and Wows the Music Industry

Latin music sensation and rising performer Nokki Cabrera made quite a lasting impression on music fans, artists, and music executives alike with the remarkable turnout of her debut EP, Trap Salsa. The six-track EP is a mind-blowing and exciting celebration of the singer’s rich Cuban roots, her songwriting prowess, her powerful vocal range, and her charming personality. If anything, her debut EP perfectly displays her deeply-rooted passion for Latin music.

Trap Salsa is about love, optimism, living your life to the fullest, seeing the beauty in things, and never taking anything for granted,” Nokki Cabrera revealed. “When people listen to this project, I pray they feel confident, embraced, and loved. I want people to feel light and to want to express themselves in positive ways.”

Nokki Cabrera’s love for music started at a very young age. She was mostly influenced by her Spanish-speaking parents’ love for notable Latin artists, including Gloria Estefan, Celi Cruz, and Willie Colon, to mention a few. She is of Cuban descent and was born in Miami, Florida, on April 11, 2000. She was born to immigrant parents who sought refuge in the United States in 1994 during the reign of Fidel Castro in Cuba. They sought a better life for themselves and, eventually, for Nokki and her brother. Throughout their stay in the country, her parents made sure to maintain their Cuban heritage inside the home and passed on unique practices that preserved their beautiful culture. This included music.

Her parents were relocated to New Mexico as the government’s way of providing assistance to Cuban refugees. It was there that Nokki Cabrera attended grade school, polished her mastery of the English language, and found her innate love for music and performing. Her family moved back to Florida when she reached high school. She attended Spoto High School and further honed her musical skills by being a first-chair flute player.

Nokki Cabrera showed signs of a promising singing voice when she was just a little girl. Her diverse upbringing greatly influenced her singing style and artistry, enabling her to incorporate unique twists to her salsa, pop, and R&B leanings. Being able to add her cultural heritage into her music brings her so much fulfillment, knowing that she brings pride and joy to her family and home country. Using Cabrera, her mother’s maiden name, is her way of honoring her Cuban heritage and embracing her Latin influences.

Apart from being musically inclined, Nokki Cabrera is also a rising actress and model. She is looking forward to exploring new possibilities in these industries and slowly building a name for herself as a serious artist. With the admirable success of her debut EP Trap Salsa, there is no doubt that Cabrera has successfully established herself as an up-and-coming music artist with so much potential. The overwhelming response of music fans across the country to her EP will definitely inspire the 21-year-old singer to come up with more exciting projects in the near future. As far as what’s next, she’s going to be releasing the video for “La Vida,” next — so be on the lookout.
