A quote from competitor and friend, Andreas Brodie from Connecticut, Andreas is a KTM B-Vet Rider in the Netra Series.  Andreas Brodie has competed in Netra, NYOA, and one of his favorite races of the year called the Northeast 24-Hour Challenge.  This is what Andreas has to say about Kurt!

Andreas: “Yeah! I can still remember the day I met Kurt, wow he had so much enthusiasm for riding, it was awesome to meet someone with such a passion for the sport of dirt biking. I remember seeing him absolutely rips on the Kawasaki KDX he had!  I bet if Kurt does all the Netra hare scramble races this coming season that he’ll have a shot at the A Vet Championship 1st place trophy without a doubt!”

That quote is from the KTM rider Andreas Brodie member of the Pathfinders Motorcycle Club, Andreas had a great previous season during the year 2022 in the NETRA racing series.  He placed 5th in the B Vet championship while still missing 3 of the races for the season. Andreas came very close to getting A Class (Pro) promotion points during the 2022 season and is hoping his off-season training will pay off this coming 2023 season!  Pictured to the right is dirt bike racer Andreas Brodie.

Below is a snippet from the new fictional book called Saddlebrook written by Kasdyn Click, which features a short fictional story of Kurt Damkoehler (Pages 149-154)

As Jack was in the back of an SUV with the new buyers for his Saddlebrook property, he was sitting next to Isabella and Georgina as they waited for the manager to come to the meeting at the dog park.  Georgina asked Jack what the racing was like.  Jack races GNCC mostly. It was hard for Jack to respond to Georgina with an answer, so Jack asked if he could just show her a video of Kurt Damkoehler GasGasBros YouTube channel from the GoPro he runs during the races.  Georgina and Isabella watched in awe as they saw him and all his competitors in the video whizzing by trees at a very high speed.

Isabella says: Wow, is Kurt racing with you this weekend at Big Buck GNCC?

Jack responds: Nope, he’s out right now with a broken femur and shoulder, unfortunately, but he’ll be back racing in 6 months if decides to race again!

Isabella asks Jack for more information about Kurt’s injury.

Jack:  Yeah, it wasn’t just Kurt that got banged up that race, a lot of other riders got injured too, Kurt was racing for GasGas again, this series he was racing in was easy too.  But, I think that they were getting made fun of because the courses were too easy, so I think they added in some tough sections.  Once the race started, though, the rain started to come down heavily, and the rain made the course slick.  Kurt was out in the front in the lead, and I’m not sure what happened, but what I heard was that he slid out off a rock in 5th gear, which is around 50-60 miles per hour, and was thrown off the bike hard.

The above story is fictional! Kurt is 100% healthy!
