Joel Sandoval on What Differentiates Average from Quality Services

A CPA firm’s function is to focus on helping businesses and enterprises with their accounts, audit, and finance-related decisions. So what separates one CPA from another? Joel Sandoval says that customer care, attention to detail and noteworthy experience are the key elements of being the best in any business you’re in. Joel Sandoval is the owner of one of the leading CPA firms based in Bakersfield, California.

Joel Sandoval grew up in a small community in Watsonville, California which was predominantly Hispanic. His parents worked in real estate and saw firsthand what hard work and determination could create. During the 2008- 09 recession which inspired Joel to propel himself into the field of accounting. He had found his calling in the most unlikely of circumstances.

However, it hasn’t been an easy path for Joel to start his own business from scratch. He didn’t know anything about marketing his business, pricing his services, or growing a team. Entrepreneurship was new to him, and Joel knew he would have to learn quickly in order to stay competitive.

Joel Sandoval has experienced and learned lessons along the way to building his business. “Make sure to do your due diligence because I’ve been burned in the past,” says Sandoval. “ My advice for those trying to start their own business would be to invest in coaching and mentorship. Without the proper guidance, it would have taken me a lot longer to find success.”

Joel has many personal goals to accomplish mainly, being a public speaker, podcast host, and developing a personal brand. One of the important goals that Joel wants to work toward for his CPA firm is to make it the biggest bilingual CPA firm in the US.
