The Revolutionary Cutting-Edge Communication for Cilento National Park

Marco Del Sorbo, the Head of Digital Strategy of Cilento National Park, the largest natural reserve in Europe, launched a new marketing campaign:

“The Cilento Park goes to Mars: the first time ever”.

The Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park Authority received a “boarding pass” from Nasa: In fact, it has been one of the names included on the “Perseverance” rover as part of the “Mars 2020” space mission.

The Park following the idea of Mr. Del Sorbo, approved Nasa’s initiative that host a limited number of participants to send their names into the space.

A chip was placed on the rover where the names of the contest participants were engraved.

To accomplish it, the engineers used electron beams on three small silicon chips that were installed with a commemorative sign, on the Perseverance’s body.

The three chips are built on the plate with a graphic design depicting Earth and Mars joined by the Sun.

Del Sorbo states on the subject:

“Be able to grasp what is happening in the world every day with a creative eye!”.

This is what I call constructive curiosity oriented towards useful projects for innovation and strategic communication, mainly based on international social media marketing strategies.

Because of that, while I was reading about the project on Nasa’s website, I thought to plan a bespoke journey for Cilento National Park into the space merging the universal beauty with other planets.

After all, Neil Armstrong reminded us that humanity is not bound to one planet.

Furthermore, the imagination could go above any boundary and opportunities are unlimited, you just need to look forward to achieve them.

The Mars exploration campaign continues and while some missions are initiating the others have already started their journey to the Red Planet.
