Anna Alimani, A Creative and Strategic Visionary

By: Bernard Clemens

Anna Alimani is a New York-based family office principal, founder, and public figure known for building influence across finance, media, and luxury industries. Operating at the intersection of capital, culture, and global branding, she has cultivated an international presence spanning investment, fashion, entertainment, and philanthropy. Her approach combines strategic discipline with long-term vision, reflecting a modern model of high-level entrepreneurship and private capital stewardship. Becoming a New Yorker, she says, fuels this drive. “New York taught me how to operate at a much higher level and how to move with resilience and discipline.”

She got her start in modeling at a young age, originally allured by the opportunity to be a storyteller. “I loved that an image could communicate elegance, strength, vulnerability, or fantasy without saying a single word.” And she’s had a chance to explore all these emotional ranges, with covers in Marie Claire, Vogue Mexico, Glamour Bulgaria, Playboy Sweden, and Park Magazine, and upcoming covers in Harper’s Bazaar and Elle.

She is especially proud of her Harper’s Bazaar shoot. The campaign, shot in Milan, was done in collaboration with Swarovski and will be featured across European stores. Cinematic, alluring, and innovative, the campaign embodied all that Alimani loves about creating a narrative through her modeling.

Even with these huge successes, Alimani remains humble and driven. “I never could have imagined that one day I would be on virtually every major printed magazine cover in the world and have them all sitting on my coffee table. I think women are finally allowed to be multifaceted publicly. You can be artistic and strategic at the same time.”

Alimani’s resume doesn’t stop at international modeling. As someone with a self-proclaimed dramatic personality, “sometimes even borderline diva,” when she started acting, something clicked. She finds a thrill in channeling her energy and personality into displaying deep and intense emotions. A member of SAG-AFTRA, she has held roles in Kindred Vampire Tales: Vamp City, The Retaliators, and Unholy Song, which she was also an associate producer on, with guest appearances on Bravo and Netflix’s Owning Manhattan. Her upcoming projects include Offsides, Sex Before Church, and Good Knight.

While she has explored a wide array of genres and formats in her film career, she is incredibly intentional about the projects she chooses, finding the most purpose in films with deep emotional and psychological depth, as well as those in which she can get involved on the producer side as well.

This year, Alimani celebrated a full-circle moment in her acting career when she attended the Golden Globes. “It was especially sentimental to me because the very first major red carpet I ever attended before the world shut down for COVID was also the Golden Globes years ago. Then COVID happened, the industry changed dramatically, and this year felt like my reappearance into that world again.” While the actress has attended Cannes, amfAR, the Tony Awards, and more, the Golden Globes hold a special place in her heart, and remind her how far she has come in the industry she was so driven to join.

Beyond the entertainment world, Alimani has built a name for herself within finance. She recently graduated from Columbia Business School, where she took her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration a step further, studying venture capital and private equity. This education not only allowed her to fend for herself in the modeling and acting worlds, where she could structure and protect her brand with finesse, but has also enabled her to excel within the finance space.

“My education gave structure and language to instincts I already naturally had,” she says. Completing her studies alongside an intelligent and ambitious cohort inspired Alimani, and has made her proud to call the school her alma mater, alongside well-established alumni. “And honestly, I loved proving to myself that I could excel academically while simultaneously maintaining an international modeling and entertainment career.” Now, with an Ivy League education under her belt, Alimani is diving deeper into helping run and structure her family office investments.

As a woman working across industries, Alimani had to pull herself up by her bootstraps, and continues to work hard to continue to exceed her professional goals. Through her non-profit, Women of the Phoenix, Alimani brings her insights to other women seeking mentorship as they build their own success. The organization partners with high-powered finance executives, working to provide women in college and MBA programs with hands-on experience in their fields of interest, empowering them to become tomorrow’s industry leaders.

“I know there were periods earlier in my life when I was not the confident woman I am today, and during those years I really could have benefited from having someone who empowered me, encouraged me, and helped build my confidence. I hope I can be that source of encouragement for other women,” she says.

Alimani isn’t slowing down any time soon. Now a certified New Yorker, she is focused on longevity and expanding her acting, modeling, business, and investment enterprises internationally.
