Andrew Molen’s Calcuttas Restaurant Introduces New Exciting Menu in Time for Spring and Golf Season

Taking advantage of time and season can never be a wrong strategy in business. In that light, Andrew Molen, chef partner of Calcuttas is leveraging the spring season to launch a new menu for the restaurant. As the golf season is associated with spring and Andrew Molen recently returned from the Masters where he cooked for some of the  top players and sponsors, he believes it is the right time to put his well-loved delicacies in the menu at his restaurant, Calcuttas.

Located at Fox Run Golf Club, Ludlow Vermont, Calcuttas is the top choice restaurant for many golfers and has become a destination spot when visiting Ludlow.  Thus, Andrew Molen introducing the new menu is a step in the right direction as the spring season comes with its feelings and preferences for the taste buds. Some of the items on the new menu include Vegan Salad, skirt steak, and sushi. Andrew also featured on the cooking show, Cooking with Kelly hosted on the YouTube Channel, Rick and Kelly UnMasked, owned by Kelly Dodd, a cast member on Real Housewives of Orange County and Fox News reporter, Rick Leventhal.

With the new menu, Andrew hopes to get Calcutta into the spring swing and give the restaurant’s patrons new delicacies to savor. This move is in line with his operational strategy of elevating the dining experience by making sure food and wine intermingle with the dining atmosphere and service to achieve unrivaled customer experience for the patrons. He is known for being a people person, forward-thinking and innovative. His chef and catering career is also dotted with a record of improving business and designing and implementing operational efficiencies to achieve increase in revenue and patronage. Andrew Molen currently operates out of Boston and New York and recently launched a new Hamptons location on Shelter’s island and continues to provide for the east end this summer.

The well-recognized chef comes from a family well-versed in the hospitality industry and borrows many leaves from his mother, a successful New York restaurant owner. He started his journey by working in the family’s restaurant and moved up the ladder to the position of general manager before he moved on to lace his own boots by working for other hospitality establishments. He has occupied leadership roles at some of the finest restaurants in New York such as Insieme (Michelangelo Hotel), Chez Josephine, Southgate Restaurant (Jumeirah Essex House), The Plaza Food Hall (The Plaza Hotel), Sunset Beach (AB Hotels), Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (The London Hotel), Topping Rose House (Jean Georges) and Todd English Enterprises. 

He is passionate about “all things restaurant” and hopes that his new menu captures more people and boosts Calcutta’s profile as a top dining location.
