DagangHalal Strengthens Malaysia’s Halal Trade Presence at MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026

DagangHalal.com, which describes itself as the operator of one of the world’s largest halal-verified business-to-business e-marketplaces, has been appointed by Comasia Limited as Strategic Sales Partner for Malaysia, China and Japan at MEGA HALAL Bangkok 2026. The role covers exhibitor recruitment, international buyer outreach and regional business development, and forms part of a wider effort to strengthen Malaysia’s presence at the exhibition.

The three-day event ran from 15 to 17 July 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, bringing together halal manufacturers, exporters, buyers, distributors and business partners from across ASEAN and international markets. Malaysia was represented by 24 exhibitors, presenting products across food and beverage, wellness and health, beauty and personal care, and other halal consumer segments. Their participation gave companies a direct platform to gauge market demand, meet potential distributors and explore longer-term commercial partnerships in Thailand and the wider region.

The opening ceremony was jointly officiated by Thailand’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, and His Highness Prince Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj. In a keynote delivered under the theme “HALAL CONNECT: From Local Trust to Global Trade,” the Prime Minister spoke to Thailand’s ambition to strengthen its role as a regional gateway for halal products, international sourcing and cross-border commerce.

Following the opening, Malaysia’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, met with the Malaysian exhibitors to learn more about their products, export plans and market ambitions. During the engagement, the Ambassador reaffirmed Malaysia’s position as a trusted halal sourcing and manufacturing hub, and pointed to Thailand’s importance as one of Malaysia’s key economic partners, particularly in halal industry development, food production and integrated regional supply chains.

Malaysia’s participation at the exhibition ties into the country’s wider export-development agenda, led by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, known as MATRADE, which works to connect Malaysian exporters with international buyers through trade exhibitions, sourcing programs and market-access initiatives.

A DagangHalal spokesperson said the company’s role at the exhibition went beyond simply bringing Malaysian companies to Bangkok. “Our role is not limited to bringing companies to the exhibition,” the spokesperson said. “We are helping them present their products, understand buyer requirements and develop relationships that can continue after the event. Thailand is an important market in its own right and also provides access to wider ASEAN opportunities. By combining physical trade engagement with DagangHalal’s digital marketplace and compliance capabilities, we aim to help more manufacturers build a structured path towards regional expansion.”

According to the organizers, the co-located MEGA HALAL Bangkok and MEGA SHOW Bangkok 2026 exhibitions featured more than 1,200 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions across over 1,300 booths, with the combined events expected to draw more than 20,000 buyers and business visitors from over 70 markets. The organizers also programmed more than 1,200 business-matching meetings across the exhibition.

Alongside its role connecting exhibitors and buyers, DagangHalal used the event to introduce manufacturers and exporters to its Halal Internal Assurance System, known as HIAS. The cloud-based platform is designed to help businesses centralize halal and food safety documentation, manage audits and corrective actions, monitor certificate validity and improve traceability across their supply chains. More information on the platform is available at hias.co.

DagangHalal positions itself as a marketplace built to give halal suppliers exposure to international buyers, along with tools and services intended to help them expand into new markets, in part by partnering with distributors that hold established retail networks and corporate accounts internationally. The company says it is also building a halal compliance ecosystem meant to complement its marketplace and simplify halal trade across a rapidly expanding global market.
