Upper East Side Fitness Facility & Wellness Club for Girls & Women Marks First Anniversary With Hamptons Pop-Ups & New Programs

The Pearl NYC, the exclusive Upper East Side health and wellness club dedicated to girls, teens, and women, is celebrating its first anniversary this June with expanded programming, new partnerships, special summer pricing starting at $30 for evening classes and $40 for morning classes, and its first-ever Hamptons pop-up events.

The Pearl was founded in 2025 by former Knicks City Dancer Marcella Hymowitz, owner, choreographer, and creative director of the event entertainment company STUDIO MGH. Hymowitz also serves as LoveShackFancy’s unofficial entertainment director, overseeing choreography and entertainment for the brand’s fashion presentations and special events. She was inspired by her daughter and created The Pearl to provide a dedicated space where females of all ages can explore movement, creativity, wellness, and community.

The Pearl was inspired by her daughter and created to provide a dedicated space where females of all ages can explore movement, creativity, wellness, and community. In just one year, the club has established itself as a destination for members seeking personal growth, meaningful connections, and experiences designed specifically for women and girls.

More than just a fitness studio, The Pearl serves as a true community and wellness “third space,” where movement, mentorship, and creative programming come together. They offer a diverse lineup of classes, including Sculpt, Mat Pilates, Strength Training, Dance Cardio, and Hip-Hop Sculpt, and regularly collaborates with leading trainers, wellness experts, educators, and female leaders. Partners have included Isaac Boots, KKSweat, DanceBody and The Sculpt Society. Members also have access to wellness panels, influencer-led gatherings, mahjong classes, mentorship opportunities, and community events that encourage confidence-building and personal development.

The thoughtfully designed facility features state-of-the-art movement studios equipped with professional Harlequin sprung floors and sound systems, along with creative spaces, study areas, and a beauty room for makeup and skincare workshops. A chic lounge serves as a gathering place for members to relax, socialize, and connect, while a fully stocked kitchen offers complimentary water and coffee, with additional snacks and specialty beverages available for purchase. Dedicated spaces for arts, crafts, and service-based activities further reinforce the club’s mission of fostering creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

Open seven days a week in the Fall and five days a week in the summer, The Pearl offers programming tailored to every stage of life, with morning fitness classes, afternoon sessions designed for girls and teens, and evening offerings geared toward women, particularly young professionals. Weekend programming in the Fall includes children’s classes that run concurrently with adult fitness sessions, making the club accessible to families as well.

Looking ahead, The Pearl will host its first Hamptons pop-up events this summer every Tuesday and Thursday throughout August at Wave in Southampton, followed by our two special events at Post House on August 16 and 29, featuring special classes led by guest instructors. This fall, the organization will reintroduce its signature Cheer Program for students, the only program of its kind in New York City. It will also bring back its popular Teen Sculpt and Teen Hip-Hop drop-in classes, designed specifically for middle and high school students seeking a fun, consistent fitness or dance option without the commitment of a semester-long program. The flexible format is ideal for students balancing sports, academics, and other extracurricular activities. In addition, the organization will launch a new Dance Team for students ages 12 and older, further expanding its youth programming.

As it enters its second year, The Pearl plans to continue expanding its classes, events, and community partnerships, creating even more opportunities for girls and women to build confidence, develop life skills, and forge lasting connections in an environment designed exclusively for them.
