A Look into the Life of Ivan Hruska, and their Band Hollywood Apocalypse

Hollywood Apocalypse is a punk rock band led by the talented and versatile musician Ivan Hruska. Ivan has been passionate about music from a very young age and has always known that they wanted to pursue it. In this article, we will delve into Ivan’s background, the music of Hollywood Apocalypse, and their plans for the future.

Ivan can work on a wide range of music projects as long as they feel the project is authentic and comes from the heart. However, punk rock is the genre that Ivan has connected with most; they consider it their home and safe space. Ivan had a lifelong obsession with music and has even been told that they used to sing before they could talk. Before moving to Los Angeles, Ivan toured Europe for five years with their solo project. With Hollywood Apocalypse, the band has only played in California so far, but they plan to tour the US, South America, and Europe.

Ivan incorporates their taste and aesthetic into their music without even intending to do so. They believe it is impossible not to put your taste and aesthetic into music, especially if you are writing from the heart and putting a piece of yourself into the songs. Ivan’s aesthetic is quite unusual and goes from cutesy themes to absolute darkness in seconds. They believe in balance, even if it’s a bunch of extreme emotions.

Ivan works with a team of talented individuals who help them produce the music. The songwriting and lyrics are entirely Ivan’s doing, but they would only be able to make their music happen with their team. Ivan’s producer, MOB MUSIC, aka J Randy, is an absolute genius who masters every instrument. They also have Thomas Queyja as an engineer at the Lip Studios, R Low down in Italy mastering everything, and Nieg in Germany assisting them with all sorts of stuff. For the live shows, Ivan has Roland on drums, Lisa on keys, Proto on bass, and Johnny Mayo doing insane guitar solos.

In 2022, Ivan’s favorite project was producing the second Hollywood Apocalypse album, Bonus Dias From SkidRow. They felt that the music sounded amazing and it was almost a life-changing experience. They recorded the album at the Lip Studios in downtown LA, which is right in the middle of Skid Row. Ivan’s observations while driving to work every morning through the war zone-like area inspired them to write the album.

In 2023, Ivan looks forward to continuing their work with Hollywood Apocalypse, possibly even exploring new genres and collaborating with other artists. Their music reflects their life experiences and the world around them, and they will continue to create authentic and heartfelt music that their fans can connect with. Ivan Hruska and Hollywood Apocalypse are a force to be reckoned with in the punk rock scene. With Ivan’s authentic and heartfelt approach to music, the band’s unique aesthetic, and their talented team, they will make a lasting impact in the music industry.
