Christian Guerra had the entrepreneurial spirit in him embedded since he was a child, thanks to his late entrepreneur father. He was born and raised in the Washington Heights area of New York and currently, as a 36-year-old, serves as the Financial Counselor for Health & Hospitals Corporation in Lincoln Hospital, which helps undocumented patients and their families obtain health coverage. He is also a Co-Chief Executive Officer and President of his late father’s garage/tire repair shop, “Garaje Gomera Guerra,” located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. His father’s business had also left behind real estate occupied by tenants, which he helps manage with his siblings.
Talking about the biggest risk in life that he took, Christian Guerra says that he left a job in management with AT&T to pursue entrepreneurship through the AirBnb and car rental industry and went ahead in purchasing his own vacation home in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, becoming a partner at a car rental company with one of his cousins. Also, he is proud that his very first LLC was given the name “Paloma Blanca Guerra,” after his late father, which means “White Dove,” symbolic of new beginnings, love, luck, and prosperity, which is meant to symbolize his late father.
Today Paloma Blanca Guerra LLC has grown as a company currently renting a vacation home located in the heart of downtown Punta Cana, as a double-gated villa featuring a two-floor, two-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom fully furnished home with a private patio with many other incredible amenities. The company also partnered with a small car rental company in Santo Domingo and now offers car rental services. They are known for the best available prices in the market and an experience for customers to remember for a lifetime.
Christian Guerra, in the future, aims to teach chess to beginners-intermediate players and create his own chess academy, for he believes that chess taught him valuable lessons that proved to be advantageous in his life.
