Managing a business may be overwhelming due to the difficulty of handling all the processes involved in small to medium-sized firms. Keeping track of everything requires time, not to mention the toll it takes on physical, mental, and emotional well-being. These cases are where specialists like Madina shine brightest.
Madina Moldabayeva is an Enrolled Agent and Managing Director of Superior Tax Inc, a New York-based full-service accounting firm offering tax preparation, accounting, representation, bookkeeping, and payroll in all 50 states. With the striking tagline, “Make it SUPERIOR,” Madina is committed to creating a hassle-free experience for all her clients.
Madina started her career in 2010 as a bookkeeper in an insurance company. She immigrated to the US in 2016 and has experience in various industries as a customer service agent, bookkeeper, and accountant.
She became an IRS-licensed enrolled agent (EA) and started her own practice in 2021. An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally licensed tax practitioner. EA’s are the only federally licensed tax practitioners specializing in taxation and have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agents are required to demonstrate to the IRS their competence in all areas of taxation, representation, and ethics before they are granted the right to represent taxpayers. Because of the expertise necessary to become an Enrolled Agent and the requirements to maintain the license, there are only about 53,000 practicing enrolled agents worldwide.
“Most of my clients are scared of their books,” she said. “I try to teach them and want them to know their books. If they know them, that means they’re doing them correctly. I also do yearly comparisons to show clients where they may need to cut costs if they need to increase any of their fees, and identify money they can invest in themselves or their spouse, if applicable, to lower their tax liability and build on their retirement.”
Her business has built a reputation within the industry for its organizational, top-to-bottom focus on finding solutions to financial issues. “I like to think of myself as a problem solver and enjoy helping people get from where they’re at to where they want to go and being a small piece of assisting in that process.”
With more than a decade of experience, her confidence in her abilities is not unfounded. “I have a more thorough understanding of tax problems and can effectively achieve the solutions that my clients need. I use extensive tools in my toolbox to craft that ideal solution for their challenges.”
Many tax preparers, especially after the pandemic, can work remotely. Video meetings via Zoom and Team are currently a “great alternative” since in-person meetings aren’t always possible, Madina says. “Local clients still prefer in-person meetings to discuss their needs,” she says.
This commitment to providing top-quality service and tax preparation is what makes Superior Tax stand out from their competitors.
