Today, the filmmaker and photographer is building an academic career while pursuing his passion behind the lens. 

Since he was young, Timothy Hwang has always had an affinity toward cameras. His fascination with it evolved into something much deeper, solidified by his time at a summer academy at a church in Korea, where he learned how to make videos.

“The academy was built so that missionaries can go out about their mission fields and use their newly learned skill to tell their stories,” recalled Timothy Hwang. “I think that’s when I fell in love with the art of storytelling via the lens.”

Throughout high school, the current graduate student honed his skills by taking on projects that would deepen his understanding of the craft and help him find his own style. Gifted a full mirrorless DSLR camera by his parents after he finished high school, he continued to make videos and would eventually start uploading some of his creations on YouTube. Aside from his creative endeavors, he’s a dedicated scholar, currently working to get his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Purdue University.

College and the workload it entailed prevented Timothy Hwang from taking and piecing shots together, a hiccup that led to his transition into photography. Soon enough, the multi-faceted personality began building an impressive portfolio that showcased his keen eye for incredible photos and his promising potential.

Fashion Icon and Socialite Radmila Lolly Brings Her Own Brand of Heat to Magic City

Radmila Lolly, while attending the Miami Heat vs. Golden State Warriors game, was spotted wearing a remarkable outfit that combines sports and fashion. Ms. Lolly went viral last season for donning a one-of-a-kind gown of her own design, made from upcycled Miami Heat jerseys. She once more dazzled the crowd at the game on Tuesday by wearing a new dress—her first jersey gown of the year. This one had her own name on it, and was created from jerseys with the Miami Heat’s new “Miami Vice” colors. 

Radmila, however, astonished her fans even more than usual this time. At the Heat game, she showcased two of her art forms, music and fashion both. At the tip-off of the game, her most recent release, “MAGIC” (Beach House Remix), was played to great crowd reception. According to Ms. Lolly, she wrote the song intending for it to become a “Magic City” anthem, played for Miami events exactly such as these. The crowd was dancing and clapping along to Radmila’s song as they supported their team. 

Radmila worked on this remix alongside Miami-based DJ and producer DJ Mike Tee. Radmila created the original MAGIC song in the midst of the pandemic in 2020 when everything was dark and unknowable. “I wanted to bring some light and hope to the magical city that I was living in,” Radmila stated. The song was formally released the following year, in 2021, and reached the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 Indicator Chart in 2022. The pandemic was an inspiration for her collaborator DJ Mike Tee as well. When the world came to a standstill in 2020, he was inspired to start developing and producing his own “Beach House” style, as house music was always something he was interested in. When asked what inspired this remix, he said, “Miami! The city, the culture, The Heat, the vibes. As a producer, I imagine myself in transit… How is the take-off? How does the ride feel? Sometimes I’m on the water; other times I’m in space, on a rocket. How does the landing feel, and how will I put my audience in a place to feel what I feel? From this ride, the MAGIC Beach House Remix was born”.  

For Radmila, this song was an important project for a variety of reasons, one of which was that it recognized Miami, her new home. By establishing connections with the Miami Heat (where she is frequently spotted courtside in her own creations), the Arsht Center, and the PAMM museum, as well as by joining the advisory boards of the Shalala MusicReach Foundation and the Leap for Ladies Foundation, Radmila immersed herself in the culture of her new home. Another reason the project felt special is that she was able to take a song that was created to bring joy to her while stuck at home, and put a new spin on it for going out in the Magic City. Her hope while writing it was that one day people would be able to go out dancing again to this music, and now that is a reality – most recently, Radmila and DJ Mike Tee were seen giving an impromptu performance of the remix during a night out at 1-800-Lucky!

The company was founded by Stephanie Puryear Helling, an experienced coaching professional with expertise in improving people’s careers, relationships and general life affairs. “I cater to the things that are important to people by helping them to develop habits and skills to deal with challenges in their lives,” Stephanie Puryear Helling said.

Further explaining the fuel behind her drive, Stephanie said: “The world needs great leaders. Great leaders who can provide trust, stability, compassion and hope. Leaders inspire members of society to pursue their dreams. Leaders provide a vision for what “can be and see potential in others who may not fully see or realize the potential in themselves. Leaders provide clarity, vision and a beacon for moving forward amidst the most tumultuous circumstances. Great leadership is highly needed, not just in business but in the world. I’m an assessment geek. I’m fascinated by what makes people tick. And it is only through self-discovery and the discovery of who others are and why they’re the way they are that we can gain a deeper understanding, appreciation for, and connection with other humans. I believe we are all on this planet to serve a great purpose, and we each have unique talents and gifts meant to serve and lift others up. However, if we aren’t consciously aware of those talents and gifts, and aren’t leveraging them to their fullest potential, then we are doing ourselves and the world a disservice.”

SPH Services thrives on Stephanie’s abilities and skills as an ENFJ (Extrovert, Intuitive, Feeler, Judger), otherwise known as the “Mentor or Teacher.” Stephanie is right on top of helping other people navigate change and strengthen their resilience muscles. She has many initiatives planned for SPH Services, and she hopes in a few years from now, she will implement them as she attempts to change thousands of lives using her tested and trusted strategies.

In early 2023, Stephanie Puryear Helling plans to launch the You Know You Deserve More podcast in addition to the many things she’s currently working on. Her experience product masterclass, “Seven Success Strategies to Strengthen Your Resiliency Muscle,” is also slated to launch in the first quarter of 2023, amongst other things. She believes that the world has become so dynamic and fast-paced that only capable, well-developed leaders can keep up with it. She’s making a difference through SPH Services, and she’s not stopping soon.
