The event was intended to boost awareness for the nonprofit’s platform and generate fundraising for the organization. Model and actress Xen Sams attended and organized the event. About Orphan Myth

Orphan Myth is a 501(c)3 organization composed of NGOs, child advocacy specialists, influencers, faith leaders, businesses, and individuals. The group focuses on empowering, educating, and dispelling myths surrounding orphans in today’s society. It aims to rally support for orphans, increase awareness across the nation, and support children who are in orphanages. 

The name Orphan Myth refers to the three myths about orphans that the organization works to dismantle. The first myth is that kids in orphanages have no family, when in fact most children in orphanages do have a family. A large percentage of kids in orphanages have at least one parent that is still living, and many have siblings that are separated from them. Much of this separation is due to poverty. 

The second myth is that there are no orphans in America. Orphan Myth works to bring awareness to the 420,000 plus orphans that are in America today and in need of support, reunification with their families, or a new, loving home.

Finally, Orphan Myth works to disprove that America can’t solve these problems. With the right support and education, there will be an end to these problems that many children in America face. 

Orphan Myth’s Mission: Changing Children’s Lives

The Orphan Myth campaign has three main goals. First, the organization aims to rally support for kids in orphanages across the country. This is done by hosting events and encouraging support with the help of influencers. Orphan Myth influencers host events, create encouraging videos, and help with media coverage. 

The organization also works to increase awareness about orphans in America by dismantling the three myths. It educates at events and in media posts, as well as circulating videos by influencers. Ultimately, Orphan Myth is able to increase awareness on important topics, demonstrating how to provide the support that kids in orphanages need. This also helps them gather resources for the children in orphanages, as fundraising and support donated by those who have been reached by this increased awareness campaign can provide funding. 

Orphan Myth has reconnected families, provided support for struggling households, and found homes for those in need. After the injury, Rudy moved on to modeling and began a career in Dubai. 

Currently based out of New York, Rudy models for top brands including Nike, Armani, and Calvin Klein. Armand Peri

Hakeem Rowe Takes Over the Music Scene With His Distinctive Artistry

Since time immemorial, music has always had a huge impact on people’s lives. Some consider the craft as their safe haven, while others treat it as an outlet for their creative vision and self-expression. For media host Hakeem Rowe, an up-and-coming powerhouse in the music industry, it is both. 

Born and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica, Hakeem Rowe eventually moved to New Jersey by the time he turned nine. At twenty years old, the artist decided to take his visions and goals to the next level and begin a new chapter in his life. Heavily emboldened by his burning desire to pursue his dreams of creating music, he bought a one-way ticket to California with only two hundred dollars in my pockets. 

Currently, Hakeem Rowe is based in Los Angeles, California. In an interview, he talked about his humble beginnings and how his then-budding career blossomed into what it is today. “Originally, I didn’t want to pursue a career in media. I moved to LA to make music. I met Adam22 while working at the Official Hat Store on Melrose, which was next door to No Jumper,” the artist said. “I’ve always been a funny guy, and Adam recognized that in me and put me on his No Jumper podcast. I was on his podcast for three years, and then I left and continued hosting for Our Generation Music,” he added. 

Aside from his early days as an artist, Hakeem Rowe also talked about some of his influences and inspirations when it comes to his creative process. According to him, his upbringing played a huge role in molding who he is and in defining his career today.  “Jamaica touches so much culture that is loved,” he shared. “Jamaicans are naturally funny, charming, outgoing, and hardworking. There’s a joke that Jamaicans have like five jobs, which is what I’m on right now,” he further explained. 

Besides his Jamaican roots, Hakeem Rowe also attributes his music style to the suburbs on the East Coast. After moving to New Jersey at a young age,  he was able to understand how things worked in the area. He then got a glimpse of a different side of life that allowed him to create some of his greatest hits. 

When he is not busy sending waves in the music arena by creating songs and producing beats, Hakeem Rowe fuels his creative flow by skateboarding and playing basketball. As someone who considers himself active, he also used to play football in high school and was an all-state linebacker. 

Although the music industry is already saturated with talented musicians and brilliant artists, Hakeem Rowe still succeeded in making his mark and showing the world what he is made of. As a tastemaker, he is able to introduce fresh music and inspire aspirants from all walks of life. “People are constantly surprised when people find out what I know or like,” he stated.

Em is a singer, songwriter and record producer who has been noted for her songwriting and performing prowess. Although only a few years into the game, she is gradually cementing her status in the industry. She has already earned herself the “prodigy” tag, following a series of hit and charting singles such as “Hear Your Love,  and her first single, Say What You Mean”

Em has also found a worthy collaborator she considers her artistic soulmate: Gregor Stobie from Glasgow, Scotland, and in the same mid-`20s age range as Em. “We’re on the same wavelength,” Em enthuses. “We do international calls and are so connected. I can say something abstract, and he will completely understand it – I get it! It’s like he can go inside my mind, and we read each other.” 

According to Em, music is a universal language that doesn’t discriminate regardless of age, gender or race. However, she admits that audiences can decide which music genre to lean towards, depending on the lyrics and message they could relate to. Therefore, judging from feedback and streaming demographics, she believes men and women aged between 18 and 45 find her songs more relatable than other demographics. And on what stands her out from her competition, she said, “My look, my songwriting capabilities and my distinct sounding voice.” 

 Music for Em began at the age of 12 because despite how young she was, her heart was already set on becoming a professional musician. From then on, she started songwriting and honing her musical skills. Even if she is not quite there yet, Em, in conjunction with the team around her, is on her way to stardom. 

Em has her sights set on the next half a decade, still relatively new in the music game and already considered a prodigy in just a few years of being a professional music artist. On a list of things she’d like to achieve within that time frame, she said, “I see myself signing to a major label and touring the world and having my songs in movies and TV, then eventually taking acting lessons and appearing in movies.

Trapreligiousco’s Inception and Mission to Uplift Communities Through Apparels

It’s no secret that pursuing brand ownership is a demanding endeavor. Still, the challenges people see can often spark a hesitance in others, especially when building from the ground up. However, their fear tends to cloud over the success and heights that persistence rewards. For Trappa Express, his strong belief helped propel him towards his goal of building a business. While it may have taken him some time, he has been rewarded with the success of his brand Trapreligiousco.

Founded in 2015, Trapreligiousco is a clothing brand with the moniker “The Real Alway$ Profi+ daily.” The brand was founded to share stories that founder Trappa Express endured through life, projecting those events through clothing designs and videos. In its early days, Trapreligiousco only sold t-shirts, sweaters, and hoodies, but the brand expanded its inventory as time went on. 

While the global pandemic last year made a significant impact on the economy, Trappa found his business thriving, selling 1,625 shirts in three months, a feat that is often difficult for a brand to achieve in a year. The success he generated prompted the founder to expand his inventory. Trapreligiousco has been producing outfits, hats, jerseys, and accessories, with the latter available for release in 2022. In addition, Trappa has revealed that the brand will be launching a children’s line before Christmas this year, releasing them at affordable prices.

“We have ambassadors and up to 16k followers on Instagram,” shared founder Trappa Express, “We plan to have two fashion shows next year — spring and fall.”

What makes Trapreligiousco so unique is the quality of its products at an affordable price. The brand also takes pride in the allure of its designs. Trappa Express and his family work together on the workload, sending clothes to victims who have lost everything, the homeless, and incarcerated individuals who come home to their communities as a black-owned family business. “We give them an outfit or two,” said Trappa, “I know it’s not a lot, but anything helps.”

Trappa Express has always had a penchant for founding and running his own business for as long as he can remember. Hailing from the town of Windsor in eastern North Carolina, he grew up watching his friends whose family owned businesses and properties, motivating him to change the status quo as his family owned nothing. Trappa also sought to prove something to himself. “To show that I could do it, honestly,” he explained, “I knew I could build a brand and make it a powerhouse. My level of thinking is comparable to that of a CEO before I was actually a CEO.” Trappa further explained that he created Trapreligiousco for his community to bring job opportunities for others.

Although he already has a handful of plans for the next year, Trappa Express is enthusiastic about taking his brand even further. He foresees Trapreligiousco owning a brick and mortar building with solid relationships within the communities, paving the way for his products in their storefront. Trappa also plans to purchase or rent a warehouse where they can manufacture their products. 

“I plan to help and encourage up-and-coming designers and brands along the way because we have been in business for six years, and it’s been a long rocky road. Nobody helped, shared information or resources, but I didn’t expect anyone to do so. So when it’s my turn, and I’m line leader, I will make sure anyone I know doing what we do in the brand, building and clothing industries—- we can help them get to the next level.”
