The Bright Lights of a New Life: Why I’m Moving from New York to Los Angeles

New York City is one of the greatest cities in the world, and I’ve been lucky enough to call it home my entire life. There’s always something going on, whether it’s theater or live music, an exciting sporting event or just hanging out with friends in Central Park on a sunny afternoon in May. But there are times when all that diversity can get to be too much, and you need some peace and quiet to escape from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and recharge your batteries. These days I’m lucky enough to have found that in Los Angeles.

Community of LA is awesome

I’m moving from New York to Los Angeles for a fresh start. I’ve always loved the city, and after spending some time there, I realised that it’s the perfect place for me. The weather is amazing, the people are friendly, and there’s always something to do. The community  in LA is like nothing I’ve ever seen before; It’s so full of culture and art! There’s such an eclectic mix of people too- you can be whoever you want to be in LA.

Weather Conditions makes your day perfect

Weather conditions  in LA are mild and pleasant. The area is much less humid than the East Coast, which has caused me dry skin and respiratory problems in the past. There’s also fewer seasonal changes, so it’s easier to plan outfits for every day.  It is well known that LA has warm to hot temperatures throughout the year, with a rainy season from February to April. If you enjoy the Mediterranean climate, you will enjoy LA’s climate. Finally, LA has beautiful weather year-round that isn’t too hot or too cold. It never snows here!

Comfort and Cost of living is relatively low as compare to NYC

Comfort  , job security, and being able to afford a decent home all played into my decision. For me, that’s not possible in New York. Property prices are low as compare  to NYC and the California cost of living is much lower than the cost of living in New York. There’s more space and less traffic on LA roads too. We’ll also be closer to family who live out here which will make them happier about our move!

One of the safest city in USA

LA  is often heralded as the city with the least crime in America. Even though it’s close to Mexico, it has been deemed one of the safest big cities in America. Besides that, my family is still in New York and moving would mean seeing them more often.
