How Alexis Parcells Has Devoted Her Career To Advocating For Women

Dr. Alexis Parcells is a living example of finding what you’re passionate about and going all in on it. Ever since going on a medical mission with Operation Smile to Morocco at 16 years old, she knew she wanted to make a career out of treating patients and changing the lives of others through medicine. She coupled this with a strong desire for advocating for women’s health and empowerment, and a career in plastic surgery and skincare was the result. Dr. Parcells had great insight into what it’s like being both an entrepreneur and a surgeon, and how she’s devoted a large portion of her life to the plastic surgery community and women’s activism.

How She Goes Above and Beyond For Patients

Dr. Alexis Parcells uses the most advanced surgical and nonsurgical techniques to achieve natural, beautiful results for her patients. She does this by taking the time to discuss the best possible treatment route with each of her patients. Whether it’s through surgery or non-surgical procedures, the only thing Alexis is concerned with for her patients is achieving the best possible result.

Aside from treatment, Alexis devotes time to educating and empowering her patients with the most up to date information, services and procedures so they can decide on what’s best for their own body. Then, after treating her patients, she helps restore a sense of femininity with each of them by supporting them, and advocating for their wellbeing.

Her Work Outside of Her Surgical Practice

Aside from owning and operating a massively successful plastic surgery practice, Parcells Plastic Surgery, Dr. Parcells spends time volunteering for several breast cancer organizations, serving as a clinical instructor to medical students and residents at RWJ Barnabas Health, and has authored several textbooks and professional journal articles on the topic. In fact, she’s presented her original research at numerous conferences in Paris, Madrid, NYC, Chicago, and San Francisco.

She also owns a skincare studio, SUNNIE Skin. When asked why so much of her life is dedicated to women’s health, she simply says, “As a woman and mother to two young daughters, I am passionate about advocating for women’s health and empowerment.” It’s clear with how many organizations she’s involved in that Dr. Parcells lives out that passion each and every day.

What’s Next In Her Career

Now that she’s established in her business and in the breast cancer community, Dr. Parcells’s focus is solely on continuing her mission of empowering women to be their best selves. She strongly believes that there should be no stigma around any sort of plastic surgery procedures, and she plans to continue her career and research to spread a message of “no shame in the game of plastic surgery.”
