Early Childhood & Inspiration
The talented artist was born on July 16, 1995, in Sicklerville, New Jersey, where he was raised. Even as a child, he possessed a natural gift for music. He began his music career as a child playing the piano and later discovered his love for Hip-Hop, when he started listening to legendary artists such as Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, and Pharrell.
With so many powerful influencers in his life, it was inevitable that he would become a self-taught MC. After a self-isolated childhood and adolescence, he began his journey toward becoming a musician. At Timber Creek High School, RJM also developed a passion for writing poetry. He was a creative student interested in art, drawing, skate culture, and martial arts, all of which later influenced his artistic growth and style. RJM’s awareness of the duality of positive and negative experiences in his life was crucial in creating an accurate depiction of his reality and honesty in his work.
Entering the Music Industry
In 2018, RJM released “Behind the Blindfold,” – a masterpiece featuring eye-catching graphics to hint at issues that delve deeper into his mind. Heis an artist who ensures that his method, which involves conveying stories through music, will emotionally connect with his audience. He also discusses meaningful topics with individuals with an insightful ear.
RJM published his debut studio album, “Defined,” the same year, five years after publishing his first project, “Undefined.” Over the years, he has dramatically upskilled himself through self-evaluations.
In the debut album, he focuses on various topics, including his inspirations, uncertainties, relationships, longing for success, the death of “Young Chris” due to street violence, and reflective moments concerning himself and his relationship with God.
His album “Defined,” can be viewed as the bridge between the old and modern schools of the rap genre. It was a turning point in Hip-Hop because of RJM’s versatility in performance and production, which enabled him to achieve the highest level of musical quality and consistency in his career.
