The entertainment and fashion industry is home to some of the most illustrious individuals inside and outside of their own communities. Growing up in Tema, Ghana, Cobby Awadzie had always been heavily involved in sports. He used to be a soccer player going up, and he was also an avid listener of music. Underneath it all, he always had the potential for style and fashion, and his recent move toward the modeling industry comes as no surprise to anyone.
Cobby Awadzie moved to the United States to pursue an even bigger modeling career. Ultimately, he aspires to become a professional model and become a massive influence on his community back home in Tema, Ghana. As a teenager, Cobby has been featured in a number of photoshoots for local ads and at national levels in Ghana. Eventually, these experiences would mold his passion as a lifestyle model, where he took photos promoting clothing brands and style icons.
The up-and-coming modeling talent takes fashion to the next level. Cobby Awadzie isn’t just the typical run-of-the-mill model. He infuses so much personality in his styles and looks, making him all the more captivating to his thousands of audiences. On Instagram alone, the model has over 6,300 followers and counting.
He aims to inspire people of similar backgrounds as himself, people who are from less affluent countries but have equally big aspirations. “I intend to have my future successes give hope and motivation to others so that they can believe that they are capable of pursuing anything that interests them,” said Cobby.
Ever since he was a young boy, Cobby Awadzie had been forced to witness the hardships that his parents had to endure to raise him and his siblings. “The countless hours of working, tending to their kids’ needs before their own, and the great effort they exerted to provide us education are actions I am appreciative of, and I desire to return the same love they gave to me,” he explained passionately.
Cobby Awadzie is deeply motivated to build his brand so that he can become financially stable and make his parents’ lives easier. Additionally, he also hopes to continue supporting children in Ghana by sending them money, clothes, and food. As he continues to work toward his goals in the fashion industry, he also aspires to stake his claim in the engineering industry as he is currently attending college with a focus on engineering and a combination of welding.
In the near future, Cobby Awadzie sees himself establishing his own successful clothing line so that he can push his fashion career even further. Additionally, he hopes to also build an orphanage back in Tema, Ghana, so that other children will not have to face the hardships that he was forced to face growing up.
As he continues to tread on his path toward success, Cobby hopes to inspire more and more people who are currently going through the same situation as him. “I hope everyone can realize that one’s background does not determine their success, but the effort they put in to achieve those aspirations is the true determining factor.”
