On the 24th of February, The movie Cocaine Bear, Directed and Produced by Elizabeth Banks, premiered at Universal Studios, and the delectable Liudmyla Tkachenko was in attendance. The story surrounds a weird occurrence of a big black bear ingesting over 40 bundles of cocaine and its gory but humorous aftermath. During a failed drug smuggling attempt in 1985, 40 bundles of cocaine were airdropped into northern Georgia. But whereas the original bear didn’t cause any harm when drugged up, Banks’ interpretation goes on a violent rampage that leaves behind some rather horrifying destruction.
The movie was star-studded with actors like Ray Liotta, Margo Martindale, Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, O’Shea Jackson Jr and other outstanding cast members. It is set to hit the cinemas this February, and fans across the country are excited about this.
For Liudmyla, the script production was terrific. People often notice the actors’ prowess in movies, but when a script shines through a film, it is a movie to be seen. And sang the praises of award-winning Director Elizabeth Banks. Elizabeth Banks produced the famous Acapella movie Pitch Perfect and has since created other blockbusters like Charlie’s Angels, Call Jane and more.
Liudmyla opined that the hilarious part of the movie was when this unsuspecting bear became wild and high on cocaine, climbing trees and doing weird ‘wall’ dancing. She would highly recommend the film to anyone who loves thrillers with loads of humor in the mix.
