In A.D. Logan’s horror-filled thriller book, titled “Stain” one can find themselves in an immersive plot of witchcraft and dramatic suspense.

The story starts with the character name Carolyn inviting people to a grand party to have some fun. But little did they know, it was merely a trap where each individual would have to pay for their past sins. A.D. Logan has written a masterpiece, a novel that fascinatingly explains the unpredictable transformation of a weak person into something mighty. Or one may want to say horrifically monstrous. But Carolyn was not always that hideous and scary. It all starts with a simple woman who has been inflicted with undue behaviour and the unjust circumstances of life. While living an ordinary life, everything turns upside down, gradually and all too sudden.

When Carolyn meets her soulmate, she thinks life will become a bed of roses, to some extent. The thought of life turning into a beautiful journey was a mere thought. And before she knew it, she found herself trapped in a seemingly never-ending cycle of rescuing her loved ones. The oppressive and unjustifiable behaviors of others forced her to turn into a person ready to take everyone’s life without thinking twice. In amidst of being busy taking revenge, her loved ones turned against her trying to put an end to her. While one may think of Carolyn as the absolute villain of the story, the readers will find a shocking twist, realizing that it was her trying to save her family. The plot is not all about avenging the loss but also about the severity a person would go to sacrificing themselves to an almost unlimited extent.

The question, however, remains if she will succeed in saving the lives of her loved ones or destroy everyone in her path. Interestingly Carolyn goes through tremendous ups and downs in her life, a complex challenge at every step, but she never let go of resilience. Bravery and courage were her two significant assets. It makes all the more reason why she was given the tricky and tough task of making a choice between saving or taking lives. The plot thickens when the individuals invited to the party realize her true intentions of Carolyn; she turns into an evil demon and kills every face present in the house. The view is undoubtedly immensely gruesome, and some may find it hard to imagine. However, the novel deeply explains the reasons behind Carolyn’s harsh and ruthless actions. Every chapter of the novel invites the readers into an entirely different plot twist, making it harder to put the book down.

The conversations between the characters and the dark past every individual carries are worth reading about; A large part of the story revolves around the choices people make. And how every choice has a consequence. Each character is equally interesting and plays a significant role in the plot. One cannot just skip through pages to know the end. Carolyn makes it a goal to let go of any guests unless they confess to their actions. But she also believed that none deserved to live. The road to vengeance, deception and revenge can be a hard one. And often, there is no way back. The novel is a treat for those who love reading thrillers, extreme gore, love mystery, supernatural and suspense. Stain offers a lot to its readers, including twisted fantasies and dark imaginations.

Storytelling has been an essential part of human history since the beginning of time. As adults, we all have stories from childhood that captivated our attention and earned a spot in our memory. If we were lucky, we gleaned some important life lessons as the story entertained us. After all, the best stories tell an entertaining tale while conveying an important message of wisdom. This was the goal of Seattle’s newest children’s book author Gerald Ruhoy as he wrote his first six-part series, Maddy and Grace.

While never considering himself a writer, Gerald has always been a storyteller. Originally from Long Island, New York, Gerald graduated from the renowned Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Product Design. While studying, he began working with various engraving houses as a product manager until the New York Daily News hired him. There, he utilized his expertise in color and gravure printing to assist in producing the weekly Sunday magazine, the various comic sections, and advertising color coordination. After a decade, Gerald left the New York Daily News to pursue his own business interests as a print broker. For the remainder of his professional career, Gerald and his business partner built a successful business working with advertising agencies throughout New York City, fulfilling printing projects across the country and into Canada.

Once retired, Gerald enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his three grandchildren. As he explains,

“I love children because children are honest, they’re smart, they always say funny things, and they’re direct. With children, you don’t get silly nonsense from somebody trying to direct you in a certain philosophy or something like that… I was able to just absolutely get along with my grandchildren because I knew what they were thinking. I knew how they thought and what they would be interested in. I had a lot of interests. I was interested in art. I love science. I love history. And I can do magic tricks. And because of that, I could talk to these kids about anything. So, as they were growing up, we got along great.”

Eventually, Gerald moved from Long Island, New York, to Seattle, WA, where he currently resides. While helping his next-door neighbor Mei with a home project, he met her granddaughter Maddy. As they talked, Gerald realized this little girl was brilliant and inquisitive. He would share information with Maddy, and she would want to know every detail about the subject, asking countless questions and absorbing the answers like a sponge.

As time went on, Mei moved away. However, they maintained a friendship. Gerald would occasionally visit her and Maddy, and their exciting conversations continued. During one of those visits, Mei told him about Maddy’s dream of an imaginative dinosaur adventure with her good friend Grace. Gerald thought it was a wonderful dream and decided to write it out as a story so she could remember and return to it whenever she pleased. Little did Gerald know, this would be the beginning of an exciting new adventure of his own.

After finishing what he now considers the manuscript of the first Maddy and Grace book, Maddy’s Dream, Gerald shared the story with Maddy, which she absolutely loved. As Gerald continued to visit Maddy and her grandmother, he would pick up a new story from Maddy’s imagination and return with another manuscript telling the tale. As he wrote out each adventure, he began to include an important life lesson learned along the way. Once Gerald had written several stories, Maddy brought a couple of manuscripts to school, where her teacher read the stories to the entire class. Each one received rave reviews from all her classmates, bringing Gerald closer to the decision to publish the stories formally.

In preparation for sending the stories to different publishing houses, Gerald met the next person who played an essential role in realizing the Maddy and Grace series, a local artist, Chris A. LeCocq of the LeCocq House in Seattle, WA. Not only did Chris draft the preliminary illustrations for the Maddy’s Dream manuscript, but her encouragement and artistry greatly assisted Gerald along his publishing journey, which he is exceptionally grateful for to this day.

Through Maddy’s imagination and his storytelling, Gerald was able to contract with Page Publishing to bring the Maddy and Grace series to print. Two years after sharing her dream, Maddy now has six unique children’s books dedicated to her name. The titles of the series include:

Childhood is a sensitive yet extremely vital phase where parents, teachers, and friends have a significant influence in making a child a confident, nourished, and sensible individual for a better tomorrow. When a child is born with a condition, parenting and social assistance become even more primitive. Unfortunately, lacking awareness of several syndromes, including Tourette syndrome, leaves victims with permanent scars.

Tourette syndrome (TS) causes recurrent, uncontrollable “tics.” Tics are involuntary; thus, people can’t start or stop them. Tourette syndrome youngsters are often bullied because to their peculiarities and misunderstood due to a lack of information about the disorder.

Many celebrities with Tourette syndrome live prosperous lives and pursue their interests. David Beckham – the internationally known soccer star, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – the greatest musician, Napoleon Bonaparte – French General, Billie Eilish – the young and gifted award-winning American singer, and numerous others, all have TS, yet they live our dream lives. Hence, it is high time to normalize such conditions and not let them feel like an outcast because they are no less than others. One that tops the list of successful people with TS is a successful children’s book author, Luis Del Rosal, who rose above his peculiarities and only chose triumph as his fate.

Luis Del Rosal – Unaware Of the Term “Give Up” And Achieving All That He Was Told Was “Unattainable”

Luis Del Rosal’s books enable children with Tourette syndrome to achieve greatness. Rosal was born with Tourette syndrome in Mexico on March 16, 1973. At 8, he relocated to the U.S. Rosal was bullied throughout school. Despite hurdles, he studied journalism and graduated from Sweetwater Union High School in 1991. Rosal, a bright student with great adaptability, learned computer and internet skills in the 1990s, back in the time when acquiring such skills was a challenging deal.

Rosal began working at 16 in a department shop and later at Red Lobster restaurant. Unwelcome attention and workplace bullying devastated and ruined Rosal’s confidence. However, he struggled courageously despite his weaknesses. He overcame his quirks and worked as a PBX operator, reservations agent, and front office clerk, all of which needed customer interaction. He attended Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California, while working. Rosal returned to Spain in 1997 to write books to boost children’s emotional intelligence.

Rosal emphasizes the unfortunate reality that this insensitive culture must urgently acquire and inculcate patience, understanding, willingness, ambition, dream, goals, and most significantly, persistence. He writes novels to assist children with rare diseases to feel normal, strong and inspired for a brighter tomorrow. To be a caring sibling, friend, father, and someone in general, one must comprehend and internalize the profound lesson that Rosal conveys in his works. His novels are the tools he spreads love in hearts filled with hatred, hope in moments of darkness, perseverance in the most challenging circumstances, and faith in a world filled with skepticism. His works carry potent reminders to always look on the sunny side of life. The remainder is a result of individual choices.

Luis Del Rosal is extroverted and enjoys socializing with individuals of all ages. Not only has he mastered the art of intelligent conversation, he has also traveled extensively, chatting with different people and making friends while maintaining his dignity. Academically, Rosal has worked diligently and advanced to the following grade with flying colors. In primary school, he won numerous commendations for his exemplary conduct and outstanding work. Not only was he performing well academically, but he was also involved in extracurricular activities such as the band, PEP Assemblies, school dances, basketball, and football games, as well as serving as a manager for the Varsity Football team while blending in nicely with the other students. Never have his oddities prevented him from being kind. They provided him with the necessary educational, societal, and familial support to stay on the path of his aim and to aid him in accomplishing it, thereby making his dream a beautiful reality. They made Rosal the captain of his life and the navigator of his route to achievement, guiding him wherever he needed support. They conducted in-depth research on Tourette Syndrome, consulted with doctors, took an active role in its treatment, assisted him in gaining a deeper understanding of his condition, raised the awareness of his educational staff, kept a close eye on their child’s needs and problems, resolved them with their astute parenting skills, and embraced his creativity in the most apt manner. They instilled in him the ability to love and cherish himself just as he is. Throughout his upbringing, they emphasized the necessity of not carrying grudges. Hence, Rosal’s parents bestowed him self-assurance, optimism, encouragement, and emotional support he needed to have a “normal” and prosperous life.

The Supportive Role Of the Education Sector In The Light Of Rosal’s Personal Experience

Not only did Rosal’s parents do an excellent job of raising a child who was bullied and mocked because of the abrupt voices or head jerks caused by Tourette syndrome, but his school counselor also played a crucial role in silencing the bullies at school and reassuring him that he would not be punished for something he could not control and should not be ashamed of. He encouraged him to inform other pupils that he was the counselor’s nephew to cease the bullies’ harassment. Such actions by school personnel and parents may appear insignificant. Nonetheless, they have a long-lasting and enormous impact on children and exponentially enhance their morale, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

Rosal Rising above Weaknesses – A Multi-Talented Soul despite Several Adversities

Rosal has never permitted his syndrome to hinder him from leading a normal, prosperous, and joyful life. He resides in Oviedo, Asturias, the northern area of Spain, where he pursues a successful career as an author of children’s books. His faultless Spanish, English, and exceptional French skills prove that Tourette syndrome has nothing to do with intelligence. To diversify his skill set, Rosal is also diligently striving to improve his Italian abilities.

Rosal possesses a certified driver’s license, is proficient in numerous languages, studies abroad, and works every day to earn a living and live a happy life like everyone else. Although chasing his goals has been a difficult struggle, he has risen beyond his eccentricities. Rosal preferred to be acknowledged for his vast talents and knowledge rather than his syndrome. His extensive list of accomplishments speaks for itself.

Rosal’s life and parenting skills demonstrate that individuals with Tourette syndrome may respond differently to the syndrome’s physical, emotional, and social challenges. Describe your company’s culture. As a sales guru, how did you encourage your team to get involved?

Andy – that’s a great question but I’m not sure it’s a fair question. All my folks have 20 – 25 years of experience and are highly motivated. Think of a law firm where everyone is a senior partner and is responsible for their personal production. Even though we are all hard charges, we have great relationships, lots of collaboration and help each other on deals and accounts.

How would you manage critical recognition for top salespeople, support staff and most improved sales performances?

Andy – Interesting question. The world of positive psychology has known this answer for years but its never made it to the business word. Books like, “Have A New Kid By Friday ” or the TV series by the Dog Whisperer called “Better Human, Better Dog” stress that it’s the parents, dog owner or in this case the sales manager that makes the difference! More emphasis on recognizing and rewarding the positive and what is going right. We also need to do it more frequently.

What are some examples of how you got to know members of your team well enough to assign priorities to sales leads effectively?

Andy – Let me answer that with what sales managers should be doing. They should know what the personal goals are for each of their salespeople and they link those goals to sales performance. Are they saving for their kid’s education, money to help their parents, a vacation home or something else? Then how much more commission do they need to make to reach those goals? As for lead assignment do you want to assign by rep most likely to close it, or territory/market or something else?

Becoming the Hero of your Own Story

Jeremiah Evans is re-defining the world Alpha and what it means to be an alpha through his new book, “Alpha Hero.”

Evans believes that the core of being an alpha is about taking on the responsibility of leadership and accountability. “I believe that anyone can become their own super hero when they decide to save themselves first.”

What does that mean? “When you take responsibility for everything in your life, you start to become your own Superhero,” says Evans.

Jeremiah Evans believes that many people today have a victim mentality. They don’t believe they are capable of making their dreams become a reality. Instead, they settle or average or a life of struggle. They justify that struggle by saying things like “that’s just how life is” or “why me?”

In his new book, Evans outlines how he went from being a Division I Quarterback, to building a $50 million sales company organization and founding The Alphas Creed.

“I want you to know that at any moment, you can become your own superhero. You can decide to become the change in your life and take full responsibility. That is where happiness comes from. It’s about sovereignty of knowing that you are in control and that you have the power to change what no longer serves you.”

This may sound like a challenge at first, but Evans believes that change happens in an instant. It’s our choices and courage to do what is hard that creates real change. Evans believes that every day we have a choice to “be great or be nothing.”

Evans believes that there is no middle ground. The middle class is disappearing and average will keep you stuck forever. It’s up to us to decide whether we want to be great or be nothing. Jeremiah has leveraged that mindset to create his dream life. Although he says that freedom isn’t what most people think it is. In fact, freedom is choosing discipline to do what others won’t, so that you can live a life that others can’t.

“Freedom and sovereignty comes with discipline. The discipline of leaning into your fears, taking on challenges and living to your fullest potential. Most people never develop confidence because they haven’t paid the price of courage. When you look fear in the eye and conquer it, you earn your courage. Nobody can ever take that away from you.”

Jeremiah has used his superhero mindset to accomplish things at the age of 26 that many don’t accomplish in a lifetime. However, he also believes that everyone is capable of tapping into that same power for themselves. Evans is quick to share Gods influence in his life and the internal power that is the secret to his success.

“I believe we all have that voice inside of us that guides us towards who we know we are supposed to become. When I lay my head on the pillow each night, I have that sense of peace knowing that I chose this life. I know that I am giving everything I can to change the world for myself, my family and the people who count on me. That is true sovereignty.”

He believes that guiding voice inside of us gives us the choice to create any life.

“Choice can be powerful because it forces us to be accountable and responsible for the life we create. Most people don’t want that responsibility. When you wake up with the choice to be great or be nothing, you are responsible for that decision. You are in control of your life.”

That powerful message is detailed throughout Jeremiahs new book, “Alpha Hero.”
