What started as a passion project between two collectors has evolved into something far more intentional.

Now operating as The Rookies Corner, LLC, the brand has grown from buying and selling cards into a business rooted in community, advocacy, and long-term impact within the sports collectibles space.

Founded by Sam and Christian, The Rookies Corner was built from the perspective of newcomers stepping into a hobby that was not always easy to break into. As women in a traditionally male-dominated space, they quickly realized that access to information, relationships, and opportunity was not evenly distributed throughout the industry.

Instead of working around those gaps, they decided to solve them.

Over the last year, that decision has taken shape through the development of CHASER, a mobile app designed to simplify how collectors interact with the hobby. The idea was simple in theory but powerful in execution. The founders wanted to create one place where collectors can find local card shops, discover trade shows, and track product releases without relying on scattered information across multiple platforms. All the information in the palm of our hand, with push notifications to remind us when events are happening soon and when a product is dropping.

The inspiration came directly from their own experience.

“We were constantly asking the same questions: where are the shows, how do people know release dates, what card shops can we stop by on our road trip?” they explain. “And there was never one clear answer. Everything felt fragmented.”

CHASER was built to change that.

Rather than pursuing a traditional development route, which came with steep financial barriers, the founders chose a different path. Over the past year, they leaned into modern tools, self-taught development strategies, and evolving technology to help bring CHASER to life themselves.

The result is a platform shaped entirely by real collector needs.

With a targeted launch planned for later this year, CHASER represents the next step not just for The Rookies Corner, but for the hobby itself.

But the vision goes far beyond functionality.

The Rookies Corner has always been about building something bigger than transactions. From spotlighting women’s sports to creating a more inclusive space for collectors, their work reflects a belief that the hobby should feel accessible, collaborative, and continuously evolving.
