Binho Board, the finger flicking tabletop game that’s taken the nation by storm, is making waves in the bustling heart of New York. With NBA champion Klay Thompson and other top athletes such as Ryan Sheckler, Kurt Warner, Seth Joiner, Cole Tucker, and TJ Watt among its devoted fans, Binho Board is setting the summer ablaze with competitive excitement.

Nick Witherill, the CEO and Founder of Binho Board, shared with us one-on-one his insights on how this game became a national sensation. He explains, “Turning Binho into a national sensation has been a long journey, but I would say one of the main reasons is that the game speaks in a universal language. It connects people organically off their phones and is so simple to learn, but challenging enough that it takes real skill to win games. This keeps everyone engaged for the long run. We also just stay authentic to who we are, and I think people resonate with that, especially in a day and age where everyone tries to imitate.”

Indeed, the game’s design is carefully thought out, with every part of the board engaging seamlessly with the others, enhancing the overall experience.

New York has played a significant role in Binho Board’s recent successes. Nick recalls their first major tournament outside of Arizona, which took place in Manhattan in October 2020 and featured players from six different states. The prestigious Pele store in Times Square was quick to recognize the game’s potential and became the first multi-location retailer to carry Binho Board. This reflects not only the store’s forward-thinking approach but also the mindset of New Yorkers.

Furthermore, New York boasts a vibrant Binho Club scene, with the New York Binho Club earning accolades as the most decorated among the approximately 60 clubs nationwide. The city also served as the backdrop for one of Binho Board’s major tournaments last summer, held at The Ground in Chinatown. As an Arizonan, Nick learned firsthand that New York summers are a different kind of hot, but it only adds to the excitement of the game.

Looking ahead, Nick and his team are eager to see what the future holds for Binho Board in New York, particularly as the city gears up for the 2026 World Cup.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the Binho Board’s journey has been the enthusiastic response from sports stars. Nick reminisces, “It’s pretty crazy to see how stars gravitate towards the game. It all started at our launch party when we had Klay Thompson, Ryan Sheckler, Kurt Warner, Seth Joyner, Cole Tucker, and many more star athletes attend.”

Designed with athletes in mind, the game’s appeal lies in its adaptability and aesthetics. Nick, who played college basketball, appreciates the variability, cohesiveness, and style aspects of sports, which he has seamlessly incorporated into Binho Board.

For those eager to join the Binho Board craze in New York, the game is available at select locations. Nick reveals, “Right now, you can find Binho Board at the Pele store in Times Square and The Village Soccer shop in Tarrytown. We are also in talks with some larger retailers, so stay tuned.” However, the majority of their business is conducted directly through their website, providing customers with the full Binho purchasing experience.

For aspiring Binho Board champions, Nick offers some strategic advice, saying, “Have intention with every shot you take, and use power on your shots only when you have the right opportunity.” As for the more intricate secrets and tricks, Nick encourages players to discover them for themselves. Binho Board’s Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels also feature tutorials for those looking to delve deeper into strategy.

Binho Board has some exciting developments in store for New York and beyond. Nick shares, “We are officially launching our MLS Licensing collection here in Mid-September, so we are excited to release our New York Red Bulls and NYCFC signature licensed Binho Boards.” Additionally, the Binho World Championship is set to take place in early October, promising a thrilling showcase of skill and competition.

While the holiday season is a bustling time for Binho Board, most releases occur earlier in the year. However, they have exciting plans, including the launch of their MLS collection. Nick enthusiastically adds, “We also have a signed Licensing deal with Club America out of the Liga MX, which we are VERY excited about.” As they gear up for the holiday rush, the Binho Board team is ready to fulfill orders, ensuring that this unique and engaging game finds its way to soccer enthusiasts of all ages.

Binho Board is not just a game; it’s a phenomenon that has captured the hearts of athletes, gamers, and competitive spirits alike. With its roots firmly planted in New York and ambitions reaching far beyond, this finger flicking sensation is on the path to even greater success. Cheers to Binho Board and the thrill it brings to the world of tabletop gaming!
