Entrepreneur Joseph Levy On Building A Successful Digital Agency

Joseph Levy, the young entrepreneur behind GTL Marketing, explores giving back to young entrepreneurs as he details the pitfalls and the promise of building your dreams

There is no shortage of opportunities for Joseph Levy, the talent behind GTL Marketing.

Since scaling back his role as the company’s active leader, he has been searching for opportunities to grow and give back.

And so, as he explores ideas and outlines next steps, Levy is actively working on an upcoming book release. With the project, he plans to share his story in a way that will encourage others.

“I will be writing a book about the journey of GTL Marketing in hopes of inspiring fellow entrepreneurs while providing insight into my journey and the struggles everyone faces launching a highly successful brand,” Levy said.

Founded in 2016, Levy grew GTL Marketing from an idea into an eight-figure agency that currently employs 42 of the region’s best and brightest marketers.

He described those years as a flurry of activity that presented new opportunities and challenges daily.

“Developing GTL Marketing into a premier marketing agency in New York required countless sleepless nights and insatiable determination. Solving everyday problems creatively was the key to our tremendous success. Now I hope to share some of the things I learned along the way to allow others to learn from what we did correctly building GTL Marketing and what lessons we learned after a wrong turn.”

While running the company, he said he worked with many brands of all sizes in both the direct-to-consumer and business-to-business marketplaces. Those experiences will entice the reader to continue as they soak up the lessons Levy learned.

“We created a top-tier marketing and PR firm from scratch,” Levy said. “But at the center of the effort was a desire to create something useful for the clients, which helps drive their businesses. That desire to serve offered the perfect opportunity to write this book as I explore new ventures to pursue.”

While managing over $50 million in advertising, he said he gained valuable insight into what works and what doesn’t to increase leads and revenue. And he is happy to share that information to help others become successful beyond their wildest dreams.”

Levy said he always looks for a way to help businesses position themselves to grab market share within their core area. And the story of GTL Marketing can be a powerful tool in that effort.

In the book, Levy will share his insights and struggles while growing and launching GTL Marketing. But “It will be more than just a how-to,” he said.

“I provide guidance to my fellow entrepreneurs and business owners as they find their footing and push through with their endeavors,” Levy said. “I hope this starts them on their road to success.”

While Levy shares his insights into building GTL Marketing and his brand, he also sees value for more than just entrepreneurs. He plans to share part of his story in a series of self-help books with long-time friend Jarred Irons.

Together the pair will release the series under the name J.J. Leiron. 

The first book in that series is available now for Kindle and Audible.

“Reflecting on the accomplishments while outlining a path forward has been rewarding,” Levy said. “I hope the audience gets as much from reading the books as we did writing them.”
