Born into a modest family, Chorna Nadiya’s early life didn’t include the resources many entrepreneurs take for granted. Despite her parents’ belief that education was more important than business, Chorna Nadiya’s drive to pursue entrepreneurship never wavered. She started her first business at a young age—a modeling school. With no prior experience and no financial support, she borrowed money from a classmate to invest in advertising. She had filled an entire class with students in a matter of days. This early success was a turning point for Chorna Nadiya, proving that even the boldest ideas could come to life with hard work, belief in herself, and decisive action.
Following this initial victory, Chorna Nadiya expanded her entrepreneurial ventures by launching a travel company. Within just a few years, her company had become one of the leaders in the Ukrainian market, solidifying her status as a serial entrepreneur. But it wasn’t just about the business’s success. Chorna Nadiya’s unique approach to business set her apart from others in her field. She focused on providing high-quality services and cultivating a team of individuals who shared her values and vision. Chorna Nadiya knew that a dedicated and aligned team was one of the most valuable assets for achieving sustainable growth.
However, as is often the case in the life of an entrepreneur, Chorna Nadiya faced significant challenges. When the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe, it posed an existential threat to her business. Like many others, Chorna Nadiya had to adapt quickly to the rapidly changing environment. Rather than giving in to the uncertainty, she took the opportunity to reevaluate her business processes. She shifted her services online, embraced digital solutions, and found new ways to serve her clients. By optimizing her expenses and identifying new markets, Chorna Nadiya not only managed to maintain her company’s position in the market but actually strengthened it during the crisis.
Despite the many hurdles, Chorna Nadiya’s entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving mindset remained unshaken. Her ability to remain adaptable and resilient proved key to her success. By the end of 2022, her business had weathered the pandemic and managed to grow its revenue. This remarkable recovery was a testament to her leadership and her team’s strength.
In addition to running her own business, Chorna Nadiya also dedicated herself to volunteer work, driven by her desire to make a difference in her community. During a crisis, she helped over 100 people find shelter, organized large humanitarian aid shipments, and supported local defense forces. Her work extended beyond business, showing that entrepreneurs can—and should—use their resources and networks to help others in need. Chorna Nadiya personally coordinated the delivery of drones to support local defense efforts, demonstrating that business can be a powerful tool for generating profit and serving a greater purpose.
Recently, Chorna Nadiya co-authored a book with the legendary Brian Tracy, where she shared her principles for managing a business during difficult times—principles tested by years of experience and success. In her chapter, Chorna Nadiya emphasizes the importance of crisis management, flexibility, adaptability, and strategic thinking. She stresses the need for entrepreneurs to be agile in the face of change, value their teams as critical assets, and make decisions prioritizing long-term sustainability.
