Passion and dreams are the twin forces that shape our journeys, casting light on the path to purpose and guiding us through the uncertainties of life. They fuel our resilience in moments of doubt, helping us rise above challenges and transform setbacks into stepping stones.
With passion igniting our hearts and dreams illuminating our minds, we gain the courage to pursue goals that seem out of reach, finding joy and meaning in each step forward. Together, they inspire us to create a life that reflects our true selves, making every moment a part of a journey toward fulfillment. For Oriane Livingston, a storyteller whose journey began among the books with a love for the written word, these forces have been her compass and calling.
Born in the heart of Paris and raised amidst a world of literature, Oriane Livingston was always drawn to storytelling. Her passion for the written word began early: she started journaling her dreams and writing poetry at the age of six.
As a young girl, Oriane won awards for her first compilation of short stories, hinting at a future in literature that would fuse her curiosity with her creativity. Obsessed with the universe’s origins, her early stories often explored cosmological themes—an interest that has profoundly shaped her work.
Driven by dreams that always seemed larger than life, Oriane pursued her creative ambitions across multiple fields. Her love for the arts initially led her to study ballet and classical theater acting, adding a layer of physical expression to the depth of her thought.
Oriane’s idealism paved her path to law school, where she channeled her empathy and commitment to justice. But deep down, she knew she had surrendered to the creative arts. Soon, Oriane departed from the corridors of justice to the vibrant and fairly demanding path of cinema.
The chants of light, camera, and action pushed her to focus on her writing, where her passion for storytelling and her desire to protect the Earth met in perfect harmony. Her time as a creative advisor for iconic film studios such as Gaumont and Relativity Media, followed by her work with Italian film producers Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis, enriched her approach, adding cinematic depth and perspective to her writing.
Now, Oriane brings her lifelong passion for the universe to her newest novel, The Guardians of Earth: Oona and the Luminous Beings. The book is a mesmerizing journey of a young girl named Oona, whose quest for answers about the cosmos brings her face-to-face with the Spirit of Earth, Eterna. Eterna radiates ethereal beauty with her ever-changing flowery hair and her cape dotted with stars.
Through the young protagonist, Oona, the author invites readers to consider their connection to the world and to recognize the beauty of living in harmony with nature—a theme Oriane hopes will inspire the dreamers of tomorrow. Guided by a prophecy, Oona must unravel the mysteries of the universe to restore humanity’s lost harmony with nature.
Livingston’s life story reads like a novel, marked by her transition from law to cinema and writing. In The Guardians of Earth, Livingston combines her love of storytelling with a call to environmental stewardship, as she has expressed that “writing is a form of activism.”
Oona’s journey is steeped in wonder and ecological consciousness, blending fantasy and real-world themes. Oriane, a vegan, a meditator passionate about Eastern philosophies, and an advocate for environmental causes, brings her values to life in Oona’s character, making The Guardians of Earth a fantasy novel and a reminder of the urgent need to reconnect with our planet.
Through The Guardians of Earth, Oriane Livingston invites readers to journey beyond the stars, confronting cosmic forces and elemental spirits that echo our real struggles for ecological balance. Oona’s story is one of courage, curiosity, and connection—a tale that mirrors Oriane’s quest to make sense of an unstable world.
