Though seemingly disparate at first glance, the modeling and acting industries share a fascinating synergy. Both industries celebrate aesthetics, storytelling, and the power of human expression. While models primarily captivate through visuals, actors weave narratives through voice and movement. But for those with the talent and drive, these professions can be more than stepping stones; they can be springboards to propel careers and ignite a passion for beauty and the arts.
Hollywood has a long history of models transitioning into successful acting careers. Their undeniable screen presence, honed through years of captivating audiences in photographs and on runways, translates well to the big screen.Â
Actresses like Halle Berry and Charlize Theron started modeling, and their beauty undoubtedly helped them land their first roles. But these talented women proved there was more to them than just looks. They possessed the charisma and dedication to develop their acting skills, captivating audiences with their performances and rising to the top of their profession.
On the other hand, some models, like Milla Jovovich, found early success in acting while still pursuing modeling. Others, like Angelina Jolie, transitioned after establishing themselves in fashion. Regardless of the approach, these talented women leveraged their modeling experience to launch flourishing careers in film.
Following these esteemed women’s footsteps is Belgian model and actress Elodie Goldberg.Â
Her unique and atypical appearance is an asset that landed her modeling and acting jobs. Zebedee United Kingdom, the world’s leading inclusive talent agency, recently added her to their roster. Elodie also signed with agencies in Belgium, France, and the UK.Â
Elodie began modeling in 2017 after a London trip, where a student at a hair academy scouted her.Â
She has led a colorful life with her modeling career. She worked for prominent campaigns for brands like Innersense Beauty and other beauty and hair brands such as Valentino Beauty, which portrays itself as a brand that reveals beauty as an open playground where new dreams come to life so users can express their individuality, diversity, and personality through color, cool, and couture. She then began to model for the Vidal Sassoon Hair Academy and has since been the face of many campaigns.

Besides modeling, Elodie starred in various acting projects. She got her first acting role after her first-ever audition for Tomorrowland, directed by Stijn Waterman. Her first job, however, was halfway between fiction and commercial, which opened both paths for her as an actress.Â
After finding her footing in the entertainment industry and leveraging her natural yet unique beauty as a model, Elodie has since starred in a web series directed by Sam Benrive, director of Girls Story Queer (2022). She also uses her looks and modeling experience to star in television commercials for leading brands in Belgium, France, and worldwide.Â
Elodie’s modeling experience, which places her in front of the camera, translates well into her venture as an actress since models are already comfortable being the center of attention and know how to project confidence through their body language and facial expressions. The model’s signing with known agencies means she is comfortable under the spotlight and projecting her emotions through body language.Â
She’s also well-trained in taking directions and adapting to new settings, which allows her to expand her repertoire and learn more about various acting and modeling approaches.Â
The road from model to actress requires dedication and continuous learning. But Elodie proves that, like those who came before her, she can utilize her existing skills, embrace new challenges, and constantly hone their craft to transition into captivating storytellers on screen.
