Born Muhammad Qasim in Dubai, Cemo Basen was raised in the slums in Pakistan, where he lived through the worst conditions he’s experienced in his life. He moved to the United States with a dream of becoming an actor and started working to achieve those dreams. While thriving as a social media influencer, Cemo Basen still has his sights set on Hollywood success, and he hopes to make a pivot into the film business sometime in the future. His knack for excellence and determination to prove naysayers wrong continue to nudge him closer to those goals. “I faced numerous challenges when I got to the United States. I was homeless and broke, but my dreams were very much alive. I shared some of those dreams with family and friends, and they made fun of me. However, their negative energies didn’t deter me. Instead, I was keener to work hard, and in the last two years, I haven’t looked back,” Cemo Basen revealed.

He believes there’s a lot he still wants to achieve, but as he works towards his goal, he wants to see as many other people as possible work toward their goals too. He created a series named Raising an Influencer, which aired on Fox5dc and also contested in the Mr. DC 2021 Competition.
