The rising star from Bucks County, Pennsylvania has steadily gained popularity over the years, with her career starting as a YouTube cover artist posting songs on her little corner of the internet.
Capri Wagner is a thriving musician that’s brimming with potential. As a young girl, she has always been passionate about music. She started singing when she was one and a half years old and officially started writing songs when she was seven. At fifteen years old, Capri would then learn how to play the guitar, and the rest is history.
Since 2009, the talented young artist would post singing covers on YouTube and other social media platforms. Inspired by Justin Bieber’s discovery story, she would continue down her own path of success, consistently showcasing her talents to the world. In 2019, Kelly Clarkson and Glamour Magazine posted a reaction video of her cover of the American Idol winner’s song “Breakaway” on Glamour Magazine’s YouTube Channel.
In the video, Kelly provides verbal feedback about Capri and her singing. “That was an unforgettable moment for me,” said the rising musician. When she was about 16 years old, Capri Wagner would then release an EP in her hometown, which she still has physical copies of to this day. She plans to release it on one of her streaming platforms to make the music more accessible to her fans. These were songs that she kept in the vault for a very long time, initially put out when she was younger.
Fast forward to today, Capri Wagner is now in her 20’s. In 2021, she released her debut single called “Raining in LA,” hosted by Ne-Yo. “Ne-Yo reached out to me after hearing and watching my cover of the song ‘How To Save A Life’ by The Fray. He told me that he wanted to help push out my music, and since then, I have been in contact with him,” shared Capri Wagner.
Ne-Yo has been a supportive figure throughout her recent music career, even going on Instagram Live with her. The live was recorded and is posted on her Instagram page. Capri Wagner plans to release more music and another EP soon, and she is extremely excited to share it with her fans once it comes out.
In 2022, Capri Wagner released a song entitled “My Angel,” which gained a lot of praise from famous celebrities such as Ne-Yo, Bow Wow, The Game, Zaytoven, Big Duke, and many more. “My Angel” talks about Capri’s father, who passed away in February, just days after his birthday.
“My father was 54, and it was a sudden and natural cause of death. It has been a difficult year, and it is the worst pain to lose someone you love in this way. In my song, I talk about how I have felt since my father passed away and how even though he is not physically here with me anymore, I know that he is watching over me and will be with me every step of the way,” explained the rising star.
