I emphasize and research sustainable materials and methods of creating packaging that is better for the environment. Many times, for reasons of cost, accessibility, or lack of knowledge, brands opt for traditional methods instead of looking for more sustainable solutions when making and producing their packaging, so I like to be always aware of the technological advances that are being developed in this field, to be able to offer solutions beyond a beautiful design,” said Yanes.

Ana Luisa also proposes another solution that she is willing to include in her designs. Implementing graphics that instruct the consumer on how to recycle the packaging, since so many materials today are recyclable, but end up being discarded due to lack of education on how to do it. For example, if we do not remove the label from a plastic bottle before placing it in the plastic recycling container, we are contaminating the entire recycling batch. The Venezuelan designer is already creating for important companies worldwide and is one of the young talents that stands out in the industry for her commitment to the environment and her need to create solutions that contribute to the planet.
