Life can be full of twists and turns. But imagine surviving a real estate crash, losing all you’ve worked hard for, then finding out you have cancer. All these seem like insuperable challenges. But the story of Rickey Greer is a reminder of what the human will can overcome when focused on hope and perseverance.

Rickey Greer is the founder and CEO of Frontline Construction Company, a successful contractor for residential and commercial development projects. The company oversees some of the most notable projects in Tennessee and Mississippi, including Wiseman Estate located in Olive Branch, Mississippi. He is also a serial entrepreneur who has overcome extreme challenges and become a beacon of hope and inspiration for many.

Greer passion for real estate started in 2006 after a family friend suggested that he would be a great real estate agent. “I was working a job as a computer technician which I found quite unfulfilling,” Greer recalls. “What did I have to lose? I didn’t hesitate to enroll in real estate school. I passed the state exam and secured a position at a local real estate company.” Greer was closing a good number of deals in no time, which attested that his calling was in real estate. But in 2008, the real estate crash happened and forced Greer out of his career.

But what Rickey would later realize is that real estate was just the starting point. With his passion and perseverance, he would move into the franchise industry and open fifteen stores in five states. Greer would also open a restaurant and become an artist producer. But his love for real estate would still resonate in him. That’s when he decided to create Front Line Construction Company, LLC, and start offering contractor services in the Mid-South area.

The company would grow massively.

The company is currently seeking certification with the Mid-South Minority Business Council (MMBC) and the Memphis Area Minority Contractors Association (MAMCA) in Memphis.

On April 5, 2019, the entrepreneur would receive another devastating blow after being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the white blood cells and bone marrow. Doctors told Rickey to prepare for the worst, but he remained adamant. So, he went into chemotherapy fueled by a desire to keep moving forward. Finally, after two years of chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, and even experiencing acute blindness, Rickey Wells Greer would become cancer-free.

Today, the entrepreneur and cancer survivor shared his story with others to inspire hope in those who feel like they’re at the end of their rope. “Going through such a challenging ordeal has given me a new outlook on life,” Rickey shares. “Each day I open my eyes, I am beyond grateful! I thank God for restored health and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through my passion for real estate.”

Greer recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity with their “Aging in Place” and “Senior Trust” program. These programs serve senior citizen and focuses on accessibility improvement, mobility modification, and critical home repairs for seniors. His compassion to help others

Today, Greer continues to push his company Frontline Construction to new limits. He’s committed to pushing others around him to succeed as well. He hopes that his story will push people to pursue their passion and stay hopeful in trying circumstances.

That’s why all details have to carry a specific meaning,” shared Oxana. “We don’t use art as a decoration for our pieces. Asked what inspired her to build a brand with primarily women on her team, Oxana shared that she wants to support her fellow female entrepreneurs who are either on the rise or the culmination of their careers.
