How Change Helped Gifted Artist Dylan Hoffman Scale Her Musical Success

Going through significant changes can be a very challenging time for everyone. After all, it entails making huge adjustments and venturing into an unknown environment. Talented young woman, Dylan Hoffman is no stranger to this experience. However, she soon realized that on the flip side, change is needed, as it helps one grow and evolve.

The seventeen-year-old singer-songwriter grew up in Eastvale, California. Seeing her passion for music and performing at an early age, her highly supportive parents immediately got her into vocal and guitar lessons.

From there, the gifted musician continuously honed her craft. She even wrote her first song at eleven years old, together with two of her cousins. All of them formed the group KDM, where they booked several live gigs for various occasions.

Everything was going well for Dylan; however, her life had a sudden detour when she was twelve. Her family relocated to Brock, Texas, where she now resides. The move was not easy for the girl as she felt like the odd one out. She even recalled being the new girl at junior high who was trying her best not to stick out more than she already did.

Nevertheless, the passionate young woman persevered. She also found an excellent guitar mentor who showed her a different outlook on live music. As it turns out, the move to Texas has been a step in the right direction in terms of her music career.

Looking back at her memories, Dylan shared, “By moving to Texas, I was introduced to a new live music scene where I could sing on my own and get paid for it. However, it wasn’t until a couple of years later, when I met a friend at fourteen, that we formed a duo and booked our first gig. I remember the excitement and the newness of it all. It was my second start in the music industry, and ever since then, I continued down the path, booking gigs at local restaurants and bars on the weekends. It was a great job for a teenager to have as I got paid well, and I enjoyed doing it.”

As a testament to her newfound success, the artist released her first single, “If I Was Gone,” when she was only fifteen. She wrote and recorded the track by herself, which talks about the pain of falling out with a friend.

Aside from pursuing her passion for music, the remarkable student is also active in other art forms. In fact, she is a self-proclaimed theatre nerd who has participated in a UIL competitive theatre class.

Despite her young age, Dylan Hoffman has shown immense strength and character. With her incredible wisdom and unrivaled musical prowess, it would not come as a surprise when she one day becomes a massive name in the mainstream music industry.

For now, the dedicated girl plans to continue her studies and pursue a business degree with a minor in acting. She also has no plans to put her music career on hold and intends to write new music consistently. Above all, she is dedicating her weekends for gigs to earn extra income and gain more exposure.

Who is Ron Sharon? How he is disrupting the IT security and infrastructure industry

To stay secure as the new normal of hybrid work emerges, the threat of cybercrime is growing as individuals are becoming heavily reliant on technology to assist them and manage their daily lives. Not only that, but businesses have also shown an elevating need for an always-connected defensive posture and understanding of what business risks remote users heighten. It wasn’t long ago that the idea of cyber security being a big issue in budgeting considerations was dismissed as an unnecessary investment. It was a simpler time when the internet was merely a fun extra channel for firms and corporations to use on occasion. As years rolled on, the internet’s part in a company’s success has grown increasingly significant, and the security of these systems is more important than ever.

Cyber attacks pose a threat to everyone, not just companies. Where in the past years, the world has experienced a hike in people addressing the grave cyber security issue, there are certain people who have been dominating the market – for all the right reasons. One such person is Ron Sharon, an Israeli-American technologist, cyber security expert, and data privacy advocate – currently serving as a VP of  Information Technology at Mercer Advisors, leading wealth management and financial advisory company based in the U.S. Prior to that, Sharon has offered his services to a number of clients focusing on the task at hand, developing a business strategy that has seen him become an integral part of his clients’ modern security architecture.

What differentiates Sharon from other cyber security professionals is his zest to look for non-traditional answers to complex business problems when traditional thinking doesn’t produce the desired results. When he works for a company, he tells them to establish their technological stack, create policies and processes, and think like they are a thousand people since it is a lot easier to adopt changes now rather than later. Because the underpinnings of a digital context can move much more quickly, there is always something new to learn and potentially apply – which is exactly what Sharon does in order to stay at the top of his game – Always!

With the above unique approach to address the cyber security experts, Sharon has become one of the leading IT security experts in the country. Not only that, but Sharon is also often seen at conferences and industry events on the topics of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and product design, sharing his expertise and shedding light on the importance of such topics in the 21st century. It is for sure that as we further into the realm of digitization it is people like Sharon who will continue to reveal the underlying dangers that present in businesses and solve them.

Paulina de la Parra Championing Diversity and Representation in the Theatre Arts Scene

Proper representation is one of the most contentious topics in the entertainment industry, and even though whitewashing is no longer as rampant as it used to be, people of color still often find it difficult to book jobs. Paulina De La Parra, a gifted Mexican actress and singer, wishes to continue the noble advocacy of fighting for diversity.

The veteran theatre actress has appeared in some of the most outstanding musical productions in Mexico City under the direction of Musical Aristica. She was also a member of the Metropolitan Theatre as well as the historical and iconic Fru Fru Theatre.

However, the young woman has since moved to New York City, where she currently resides and continues to pursue her acting career. As a result, she has the remarkable opportunity to be part of the most iconic cabarets and theatre companies in the area, including 54′ Below, LAByrinth Theatre Company, and The Tank.

The multi-talented individual has recently joined the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, a two-time Tony award-winning theater, where she was cast in A Christmas Carol. Paulina De La Parra was also recently cast in the upcoming tour productions as the titular hare in the Tortoise and the Hare and Flotsam in the Little Mermaid.

But perhaps, her most notable lead role will be Marinda in the upcoming production of “Terremoto,” which is a modern day/LatinX adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, where she will perform opposite Broadway and Hollywood star Ilda Mason. The production was written by Carl J Danielsen and will be produced by the Quemoción Production Company.

There is no denying that Paulina De La Parra is a highly skillful actress. But on the other hand, that is not all there is to her. The proud Latina always carries a sense of pride for her heritage. As such, she works hard to elevate the reputation of her people for every performance and project that she does. The insightful woman profoundly shared, “It is not enough to be good at what you do but to reach people and have a social change utilizing art as the medium.”

Fueled by her extraordinary values and principles, she plans to open doors for much-needed diversity in the arts. In addition, she wants to give a voice to underrepresented groups by portraying realistic and empowered versions of what being Latina really is.

To champion the causes she believes in, Paulina De La Parra has accepted roles in shows that tackle these issues and topics. For example, she was part of the open project for the LAByrinth theatre company Shame Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, which speaks about racism. She also performed in Wounded, a play by Sophie Macintosh that talks about femicides from the victim’s perspective. Lastly, she was part of Tony award-winning writer Tonya Pinkins, Truth and Reconciliation: Womyn Working It All Out.

In her 10-year career in theatre arts, Paulina De La Parra has demonstrated unrivaled artistry and skills. But most importantly, she is a testament that one person’s efforts are enough to raise awareness on important advocacies.
