Learning to Reign with Confidence and Resilience with Musical Artist Natalie Reign

Life can suck on so many levels at times. Challenges come crashing down when we least expect them, and external circumstances like a global pandemic and civil unrest can quickly complicate things. Hence, songwriters and artists like Natalie Reign find it’s essential that they use their art and platform to inspire others to “reign with confidence and resilience.”

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Natalie Reign is a musician with an undying love for her craft and a desire to touch people’s lives with it. Her real name is Natalie Monchis, but she goes by her stage name “Natalie Reign” to remind herself and others of the importance of starting with the proper perspective to thrive in life. “I had been struggling for quite some time to find an artist name that represented me, my music, and the message I wanted to portray to my audience,” explains Natalie about how she landed with her pen name. “By fluke, the word Reign, which symbolizes royalty, power, and strength, came to me. The name is a reminder for myself and my listeners to believe in ourselves and to push through life to help us build confidence and resilience.”

Natalie is best known for last track called “Royal” and now makes her return with her newest single, “Lose Your Mind.” The latter came as a collaboration with the iconic musical artist/OVO affiliate TVGUCCI and has started to gain some traction and momentum on various music platforms. It’s an upbeat song that showcases Reign’s diversity as an artist and proving that she’s capable of multiple different sounds.

Growing up, Natalie Reign always had a love for music and dancing. She would sing and twirl anywhere she went, and her Russian roots only added to that. Given that Russian-style parties always involved live music and dancing, the artist’s family memories involved a lot of singing. She also grew up listening to eighties hits like ABBA, Boney M, and other musical legends. “Overall, I believe that my upbringing has shaped my perspective on life, my open-mindedness, has encouraged me to explore different sounds, and has given me a great appreciation for artistry as a whole,” explains Natalie.

It wasn’t until 2017 that Natalie Reign started diving into music. She started under her first name as an artist brand but later added the word “Reign,” which has proven to be a powerful alteration. Her music mainly carries afro, rap, hip hop, and R&B influences. Despite growing up with a lot of stage fright, Natalie has now learned to step into the limelight and shine, which is apparent in her latest release, “Lose Your Mind,” ft. TVGUCCI.

When speaking on her latest track, Natalie Reign explains how the collaboration came unexpectedly but has become an absolute gem of a track. While working on “Lose Your Mind” with her sound engineer at Abstract Studios, TVGUCCI happened to be the next in line to record. The music personality took the next slot but surprisingly asked to play Natalie’s track and added an entire verse of his own to the song. “I was in complete shock and was surprised that he had enjoyed the song so much that he decided to jump on it,” recalls Natalie Reign. “In conclusion, expect the unexpected.”

Natalie looks forward to creating more music that people from other walks of life would enjoy. She currently maintains a day job in the criminal justice system while working on her music on the side. Follow Natalie Reign and her music on Instagram and Spotify.

Luciana Abait Battles Climate Change through Thought-Provoking Art

The fight against agents that perforate the growing issues and subsequent adverse effects of climate change has risen to unquestionably grave proportions. And despite all efforts to abolish malpractices that destroy the climate and the planet, there is still much to fight for and a much longer way to go until we see victory. That’s why artists like Luciana Abait refuse to relent on their mission to combat the parties that contribute to global warming and climate issues.

Luciana’s two-dimensional and three-dimensional photo-based artworks have dived into many themes and categories. Still, closest to her heart—especially in recent times—has been the fragile nature of our environment. Her exhibits have expressed the urgency of dealing with the growing pains of global warming and its impacts on immigration in particular.

Some of Luciana Abait’s favorite subjects are icebergs and mountains. “Icebergs represent me as a wanderer, shifting between oceans and continents,” explains the iconic artist and activist. “Mountains, in turn, are metaphors for the hurdles and obstacles I have had to climb along the way since I departed my native hometown in the 1990s.”

To say that Luciana Abait’s art is provocative would be an understatement. Her works have entertained, educated, and championed schools of thought close to her heart and the greater community. As a result, many art critics and collectors have supported her art and message, bringing her works throughout countries and regions like the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Abait has held many solo shows across galleries, museums, and international art fairs worldwide. Some of her most notable exhibitions include “A Letter to The Future” in Los Angeles International Airport and “Sur Biennial” in California—two shows that would receive critical and general praise for the masterful visual work portrayed and the inspiring messages attached to them. Luciana Abait would also be a part of exhibits like “Flow, Blue” in Rockford College Art Museum, and “Luciana Abait” at Jean Albano Gallery in Illinois,” “Nest” at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, and “ARCO” in Spain.

Apart from her exhibition work, Luciana has also completed several corporate and public art commissions. Her most well-known and visible works include “Vistas,” a twenty-four-foot mural commissioned by Miami-Dade County. She also created “Golf Windows” for the Florida Public State Buildings Program and “Hong Kong Windows” for Swire Properties in Hong Kong. Other bodies and corporations she has served include The Related Group, Florida State University, Permanent Art Collection of Neiman Marcus, Four Seasons, and the University of Miami in Florida, King and Spalding in Texas, Lehigh University Museum and West Collection in Pennsylvania, Sprint Corporation in Missouri, and Freshfields, among several others.

The past year, Luciana has been working primarily on mounting outdoor exhibitions and projects to allow audiences to enjoy her work while also following COVID-19 guidelines set by California’s governing bodies.

“I have been creating public art as a way to give people a moment of respite and joy amid all the collective mourning that we have been experiencing,” explains Abait.

Her thirty-four-foot-high immersive video installation Agua was projected onto a historic cultural monument: the Petroleum Securities Building in Downtown Los Angeles. It was part of LUMINEX, presented by NowArt LA and Building Bridges Art Exchange.

“It looked like a waterfall was drenching a building, so similar to what has been happening in NY these last few days,” the artist explained.

As an extension of this project, she will be presenting a limited edition series of prints of the Agua installation at the Art on Paper international art fair in New York, from September 9 to 12, 2021, with Jean Albano Gallery. This limited edition series is particularly special, as it will allow the public to take Agua home with them.

In addition, the artist hopes to create more artworks that will continue to reflect the fraught relationship between humans and nature by portraying the intrusive practices that destroy the world’s natural beauties and push for leading bodies to work towards preserving balance. The Colombian Sleepwear Company Set to Rock the US Market

For many, fashion is more than just clothes to put on and look nice. It’s a statement and a lifestyle. But while the world of fashion is focused on day wear, Juliana Mesa realized that sleepwear was an area that was often overlooked by many of the major brands in the industry. So, being a lifelong fashion lover, she decided to take matters into her own hands by creating the unique brand Dolce de Amore.

Dolce de Amore is a Colombian company specializing in manufacturing sleepwear, leisurewear, and accessories. Based in Medellin, Colombia, Dolce de Amore currently has 69 direct employees with 700 indirect employees. Direct employees are given fair working conditions that welcome the labor code. In contrast, indirect employees include product chains from raw materials, even satellite workshops that the company uses to meet the demand for the product.

Juliana’s brand has been in the industry for more than 10 years, making its presence known with stores based in five of the main cities of Colombia—Bogota, Cali, Bucaramanga, Pereira, and Medellin. Dolce de Amore also has a consolidated distribution in Costa Rica and Puerto Rico, with sales in around 27 countries. With more than one decade in the business, the brand has continued to thrive in the fashion industry, increasing its income by 82% compared to 2019. Juliana speculates that the increase is the product of developing its digital channel, both on the website and service lines through networks that allowed a more significant impact on sales by expanding its commercial territory domestically and internationally.

Dolce de Amore’s success can be attributed to the hard work, experience, knowledge, and passion of founder and CEO Juliana Mesa. However, the brand would not have existed if she did not stray from her original plans. “I studied engineering at the university, but my passion was always design and fashion,” Juliana revealed. So, while studying, she decided to follow her passion instead. After conducting a market study, Juliana found that the sleepwear market was a neglected niche and came up with the idea to start her brand.

“I decided to start my own line of pajamas,” she shared. “It was not easy at first. I was making a few units and selling on orders until reaching a point where I started producing in large quantities, learning from the entire production chain and hiring the staff to grow the business on a larger scale.”

Juliana’s decision paid off as she would expand her company into a titan in Colombia’s fashion scene. In her role as the current brand director, she highlights the wonderful projections and desire for growth in the coming months. As sales have grown stronger, Juliana attributes the success to the collections and campaigns that have attracted customers from new market niches.

The company is looking ahead to the remainder of this year in 2021, as it has made efforts during the last quarter to reach the giant Amazon and compete with big brands, expanding its supply and conquering the elusive American market. They hope to implement the commercial strategies that allow them to establish an arm of the brand in the country and achieve advertising on strategic sites in large cities such as New York and Los Angeles.

“We continue to aim at the development of a concept that is positioned as a lifestyle, transforming the way customers experience the product and with the brand despite continuing in an extremely challenging environment,” she declared.

Juliana Mesa is enthusiastic about her brand’s growth as she foresees Dolce de Amore becoming a renowned company with outlets selling around the world.
