One such talented photography organization blending philanthropy with photography is One Again At Peace To Fly. Optimally utilizing social media, @oneagainatpeacetofly is a page that has been working towards raising money for charities across the globe for multiple causes. As a result, the page utilizes photography as a medium to motivate people to give and helps charities to further their cause, using conceptual themes, lighting, and imaginative background elements to promote the purpose of their pictures and statements.
For example, the creative director will look at an issue, like preserving a bird species. They then pick a theme connected to the topic that would portray it best, like feathers, and later publish a series of photographs in that theme, which are then used to crowdfund for a leading charity involved in solving the issue, such as the Bird Protection League.
Moreover, every month there are a series of new pictures and crowdfunding projects released on the page. Using various themes, OneAgainAtPeaceToFly has helped charities worldwide through crowdfunding campaigns. For instance, a recent series used a paper theme to help an organization protect trees cut for paper production by encouraging recycling. In addition, a couple of months earlier, another campaign based on flowers and nature financed a charity that protects flora and fauna in the Amazon Forest (Amazon Watch).
Using various elements, colors, lights, and photography techniques, the page exhibits a series of artistic pictures dedicated to supporting specific charities or non-profit organizations.
The Instagram page, which was started in January 2022, mentions, “The theme highlights an issue. Then our pictures are used to raise money for charities involved in solving that issue”.
The OneAgainAtPeaceToFly initiative aims to get everyone who can donate $1 together for every crowdfunding project.
Though the artist behind the page has remained anonymous since it launched, she recently decided to reveal herself and, as such, can be found at @acidlustyle on Instagram.
