Ever since James Hackett was young, he had always been a lover of music. As a matter of fact, he already had his hands on an acoustic guitar at the age of five when his father took him to a small music store in downtown Philadelphia. Since then, he had been learning complex guitar riffs and studying the approaches of notable figures, such as Jimmy Page and Kurt Cobain. However, this multifaceted artist admitted that his passion for the craft only began when he took a road trip with his father. While listening to Strawberry Fields, James immediately knew that he would delve deep and dedicate his life to the world of music.
Throughout the years, James Hackett continued to harness his potential while carving a success-enabling path toward the realms of music and entertainment. After graduating from high school, he took a more serious approach toward the materialization of his dreams by consistently studying the fundamentals of songwriting. James had also built a makeshift studio in his home to create songs that spoke volumes of his passion and dedication to his craft. Years down the road, he took the next big step in his career through the release of his EP entitled Dark Chords. This five-track wonder features a wide array of talents, including performances by Alex Kopp, who is the producer and keyboardist of the band “Third Eye Blind,” Grammy-winning Drummer Lee Levin, and more.
Alongside his EP, James Hackett also released a music video for his single, “If I Were Yours,” last April 1, 2022. Since then, it has garnered over 100,000 views on Youtube.
