Top Spring Cleaning Tips For Your Kitchen

If you love cooking like me, you probably have a lot of cool kitchen appliances. Cleaning your food preparation tools is just as important as cleaning the dishes. In this article, we will discuss how to spring clean your kitchen appliances.

Here are some of the top tips you can use for your spring cleaning:

If you have a microwave, you should clean it about once a month. You can use lemon juice and water to get rid of any grime or food debris in the appliance. Simply place half a cup of water and four tablespoons of lemon juice inside, heat on high for three minutes, then wipe down the insides with a sponge.

I also like to add some apple cider vinegar to my kitchen towels when cleaning appliances such as the oven. This really helps cut through tough grease stains that tend to accumulate there. If your oven isn’t self-cleaning, you can use baking soda paste to scrub away unsightly dirt marks. Apply to the affected area and scrub away with the cleaning cloth. If you find any error codes during your cleaning, you can schedule an appointment for the repair

When cleaning your countertop, I like to use baking soda as dirt removing agent. For marble kitchen counters, you can also use cream of tartar for this purpose as well as a polisher! If you have stainless steel appliances in your kitchen, try cleaning them with a mixture of water and vinegar. The acidity in both ingredients helps cut through grease without scratching the appliance’s surface. For tougher stains that won’t come off using just water or vinegar, consider using Coca-Cola or Pepsi cola because both contain acids that will help erase those tough baked-on marks. This is especially effective when cleaning grills and ovens where the temperature might actually melt the liquid.

What else can you use to clean off your kitchen countertops? Rubbing alcohol, which is the same cleaning agent used in cleaning glass and mirrors. So if your counters are smudged with oil stains or food particles that won’t come off with water and vinegar, soak a soft cloth in rubbing alcohol and rub away at those dirty marks.

You also need to spend a little effort cleaning your dishwasher. Here are the simple steps:

Remove all dishes from inside of the dishwasher. If there are some stubborn pieces that do not want to come out, try inserting a spoon in one end and push them outwards until they fall out. This step should only be attempted if the remaining dishes are small enough for one person, or two people working together can easily remove them without damaging anything.

Fill the dishwasher with hot water. Mix in cleaning soap. Add 1 to 2 cups of white vinegar inside. Do not put dishes back into the dishwasher at this point, as you are cleaning all surfaces that cleaning soap or vinegar can contact. If no dishes are blocking access to these surfaces, then cleaning should be much easier than if there were items in the way. It is also possible to use baking soda instead of cleaning soap for this step, however baking soda may clog drains so it is recommended to use cleaning soap, which has surfactants and other additives designed for this type of cleaning process.

Turn on your dishwasher’s hottest setting using its buttons or electronic controls. If there is no cleaning cycle available on your dishwasher, select the longest cleaning time (usually around 3 hours) on the “normal” cleaning cycle instead.

If your kitchen sink has been clogged up by food particles, you can use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar to dissolve any hard residue. Make sure the drain is plugged shut beforehand. If there is still some water in there when you add in the cleaning agent, it will bubble up and overflow.

The mixture might also be too thick for running water to carry down the drain which means even more cleaning time! You can also use a plunger or special cleaning tool called a “drain sucker” in conjunction with this cleaning solution in order to make sure all remnants of your lingering dinner are properly disposed of.

As we use our kitchen appliances every day, it is important to keep them in good shape so that we can prepare our meals smoothly.
