Their mission finds its origins in the Jesus Movement of the 1960s and 70s, a period of spiritual renewal that inspired many young people to explore a deeper understanding of faith. It was during this transformative period that Bob and Rose began their personal and shared journeys. Bob, raised in a Jewish family that later embraced Christianity, found himself profoundly changed during his time in the Air Force. His spiritual mentor, Albie Pearson, a former professional baseball player, modeled a love for God that inspired Bob to devote his life to faith.
Rose, though raised in a Christian home, found a personal connection to her faith during her college years. Her deeper understanding of God’s Word gave her a renewed sense of purpose. The couple met in California, and their shared passion for helping others grow in faith became the foundation of their partnership, both personally and spiritually.
Central to their mission is the belief in creating a strong spiritual foundation. Bob often emphasizes, “If your foundation is weak, it affects everything else you build.” This idea became the focus of their literary efforts. They observed that many new believers lacked the tools to remain strong in their faith, especially when faced with life’s challenges. To address this, they wrote Bible Studies for a Firm Foundation, a guide designed to help individuals build a lasting relationship with God through scripture.
Their book provides practical insights for understanding and applying biblical teachings. It has been translated into several languages and has reached communities in regions such as Russia, India, and South America. “It’s a starting point,” Rose explains, “giving people what they need to navigate faith and life.” Readers have shared stories of how the book has influenced their spiritual growth and helped them navigate challenges.
Their other works include Bible Studies for the Lovers of God, which explores the importance of building a personal relationship with God based on love rather than rules. Rose highlights how this book helped her move away from a rigid view of faith, and embrace the love and grace of God. Another title, Bible Studies for the Preparation of the Bride, explores the allegorical language of the Song of Solomon and offers insights into interpreting the symbols found in scripture.
Their most recent book, The Glorious Church, focuses on experiencing God’s presence in daily life. It explores ways to live with joy and purpose while considering the spiritual significance of traditions like Israel’s ancient feasts. Each book reflects a shared effort to make faith accessible, practical, and meaningful.

They often reflect on the message of Romans 5:2: “By faith, we enter into grace.” This grace, they explain, has been their strength through difficult times, allowing them to continue their work and inspire others.
