Pinterest-perfect would be an understatement when describing the event hosted by pilates expert Bailey Brown, this past November 15th in New York City. Bailey Brown is the founder of Align, a pilates fitness program with a revolutionary approach. Align Your Cycle is a program that guides women through a series of workouts and nutritional guidance based on the menstrual cycle phases. This groundbreaking approach is transforming the long-established fitness industry—which, until now, has been designed to only cater to men’s bodies.
Through Align, Bailey Brown is, for the first time, opening up the opportunity for women to finally undergo a fitness experience that celebrates the power of their bodies—and this is by simply keeping their cycle at the forefront of their fitness journeys. That is why the Align Website and App are organized into four different sections: The Menstrual Phase, The Follicular Phase, The Ovulatory Phase and the Luteal Phase. Program subscribers are first led to find the phase that they are currently in, and then they participate in the respective pilates classes that adhere to the current phase of their cycle. This ensures the fulfillment of their body’s needs during that period (no pun intended). The program also includes an EBook with suggested recipes for well-rounded nutrition during each cycle phase.
Bailey’s immense success has been evident not only through the massive Align community, but also through the large-scale conversations that she is inciting on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. With over 580K followers on TikTok and 4.7 Million likes, hormone expert Bailey Brown is single-handedly breaking down barriers for women in the fitness industry by providing hormone, cycle and fitness education. That is why this November, Bailey went out to New York City to continue the conversation at a more personal level.
Hosted at the Ramscale Studio in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, this event was bound to be a success. With wooden floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and a breathtaking view, the space was filled with a light and airy atmosphere — curating the perfect holistic experience that represents the Align Your Cycle brand. It was also the perfect place for Bailey Brown to host a forty-minute dynamic pilates class, designed to support women’s hormones in each phase of their cycle. The class was the star of the show. Women from all walks of life – journalists, creatives, influencers and even reality TV stars, came together to enjoy a day of womanhood-celebration. The event empowered the 50+ guests with knowledge about hormones, cycles and how to best shape your fitness journey to adhere to your body’s needs.
“When I started planning these events, I had such a vision in mind of the experience I wanted to create. I really wanted to bring together inspiring women in a way that would allow them to celebrate themselves as women, feel confident in their bodies, and leave feeling refreshed and energized” — Bailey Brown.
In addition to the divine venue and pilates class led by Bailey, guests got to enjoy time together while munching on New York City favorite, THE WELL Kitchen & Table catering. Right in line with Bailey’s mission, THE WELL Kitchen & Table is all about a holistic approach to fueling the body. With sustainably sourced ingredients, guests were able to enjoy a nutrient-rich, allergen-friendly and non-GMO meal.
After suffering from severe bloating, painful acne and an overwhelming hormone imbalance herself, Bailey Brown knew that there was something that needed to change in her approach to health and wellness. It was through a long journey that required time, patience and the utmost education on the body that she understood the power of aligning fitness and nutrition to the menstrual cycle. That is when Bailey’s life changed. With her hormones balanced and a sudden disappearance of all the uncomfortable symptoms, Bailey Brown turned to the internet to share her experience—-only to find that so many other women had struggled with the same difficulties. Today, she is on a mission to spread awareness about hormones, cycles, fitness and nutrition. She is devoted to leading a movement that reminds women of their strength and power, simply by providing adequate workouts that are aligned with the female body.
“Align Your Cycle is a great program to start working with your body and hormones as a woman” – Bailey Brown.
