Well-renowned cosmetic surgeon, Dr. David Shokrian, is changing the lives of many individuals, giving them the self-confidence that money could actually buy.

Shokrian currently practices at Millenial Plastic Surgery, which offers revolutionary technology and services that produce positive results and the enhancement of beauty. MPS, based in New York, prides itself on giving women and men the care they deserve and the way they want it. The formation of MPS came from Dr. Shokrian’s journey to success.

Shokrian was born in Iran and fled to New York following the Islamic Revolution. He claims his passion for beauty started early on. “I always had a very keen eye for beauty. Even from a young age, I was acutely aware of my surroundings in terms of aesthetic beauty,” he says.

Shokrian’s pursuit to be the best was established in his years of schooling. He attended SUNY Stony Brook, receiving a full academic scholarship while graduating with honors. He also graduated in the top 1% of his class at The Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.

Although Dr. Shokrian excelled very often, his journey to success was not always transparent. Shokrian says, “My journey has been filled with ups and downs, challenges and victories. You could write a best-selling non-fiction novel about my life. I’m what you would call a survivor. I have been told no at every turn in life, and I have always defeated the odds. I have come to realize that when someone tells me I can’t, or I won’t be able to, they are, in fact, endowing me with the ability to do exactly the opposite.”

Dr. Shokrian’s resilient climb to the top ultimately led him to start his practice, Millennial Plastic Surgery, in 2017. Shokrian sets himself apart from other practices with his innovative surgery methods. Shokrian performs awake contour procedures that lead to fewer complications and less downtime and pain. “One of my mentors, a very famous plastic surgeon named Luis Vasconez, taught me how to do facelifts awake. I then started to perform awake liposuction and have continued to progress to doing awake tummy tucks, breast augmentations and Brazilian butt lifts,” he says, “I have done more awake surgeries than almost anyone in the United States and certainly more than anyone in New York.”

Shokrian also uses social media platforms to educate people on plastic surgery through broadcast procedures and surgery reactions. Shokrian wants to help and inform patients to keep them safe when considering cosmetic surgery.

Despite his astounding surgical skills and numerous accomplishments, Dr. Shokrian’s best quality is his care for his patients. He prides himself on finding the beauty in everyone and restoring it if needed. Shokrian has performed numerous pro bono surgeries to give back to the community. Over the past ten years, he has gone to the Philippines and performed pro bono surgeries while doing outreach to various medical supply companies to help donate supplies for these missions. Overall, Dr. Shokrian’s kindheartedness, positivity, and resiliency are what really helps set him apart from his peers and other practices.
