Dr. Ketam Hamdan is an educator, speaker, and mindset leader responsible for the positive shift in the mental health and brain health of thousands of individuals. She is a mental health influencer who creates educational content to raise awareness and engage her followers to look within and learn about themselves. In addition to her private practice, the Brain Health Center, she is the founder of Annisa Mental Health, a non-profit organization that specializes in supporting minority women during difficult periods. As Managing Director, she is dedicated to improving the well-being of those in crisis.

Dr. Hamdan is on a mission to educate and guide her clients through the process of transformation for true healing and fulfillment. She aims to achieve this through “Total Intelligence Therapy,” which uses neuroscience, trauma research, psychology, and Eastern philosophies to teach people about their inner world that few ever learn.

Dr. Hamdan’s idea of success depends more on the inside than the outside. To her, happiness is an intangible state of mind that requires learning how your brain, body, and soul work on the inside to better be able to manage the unconscious processes that hurt you from living the life you desperately crave. Today, she focuses on personal development and growth by providing powerful guidance to those seeking a more fulfilling life that their wealth or prestigious accomplishments have failed to fulfill. As a success story herself, Dr. Hamdan knows first-hand what building the proper habits can do when it comes to channeling your energy and attracting success.

In a recent interview, Dr. Hamdan shared four habits that helped her heal herself and continue to thrive in life.

  • First and foremost, she says her inclination to live a life of meaning has enabled her to commit to serving a higher purpose in life. She believes that each human has a purpose in life, and once they can identify it and strive for it, life automatically becomes more fulfilling. Her unwavering commitment to veritas, Latin for truth, has motivated her to open up to challenges in life and face them head-on.
  • Second, Dr. Hamdan sees failures or challenges as gifts. Dr. Hamdan says, “I don’t see roadblocks or failures as a bad thing; I see them as gifts that help you even more.” The day you indeed feel like a failure is a day you have failed. As a thought leader and healer, she possesses the mindset to conquer all hardships with insight and teaches her clients to embrace challenges, no matter how painful. She says they are the ‘gifts of growth.’ Without them, a person can never grow to be the more extraordinary being they are meant to be.
  • Third, Dr. Hamdan accredits her innate desire to learn new things and try her potential at every point in life to be the reason behind her success. She explains, “I am always reading, learning new things, and I LOVE to teach others new things that I learn that help me. In teaching others, you teach yourself.”
  • Lastly, she believes that self-awareness and her ability to trust herself after years of learning the process have finally helped her teach the same to others more efficiently.
