Success has been defined in several steps for generations: completing education, finding a good job, and working to the top. But the daily routines can often be repetitive, instilling a desire to branch out into new endeavors. Although many try to warn people of the risks, a host of individuals prove them wrong. Joining them in their journey is up-and-coming musician PM FRVR.
Born and raised in Atlanta, PM FRVR always had a penchant for music. As a teenager, the would-be artist showcased his talent in rapping whenever he wasn’t on the basketball court. He would have pursued a professional career as an athlete, but things changed in high school.
In an unfortunate event, PM got into trouble. While athletes typically get a slap on the wrist, the young artist was punished by getting booted off the team. Despite losing his place on the team, PM FRVR chose not to dwell on his loss and shifted his focus to making money.
Like many before him, PM FRVR followed the steps that others instilled. He went to college and obtained a marketing degree, and sought work that could provide him a stable income. However, it wasn’t until the artist got out of a relationship that PM FRVR took his music career more seriously.
PM FRVR’s name is a play on the words “Playmaker” and “Forever.” So putting them together means “Making the play forever.” The artist strives to get the job done.
Like many of his peers, PM is passionate about music. He uses his platform to reach out to his listeners, giving them content they can relate to. As an artist, PM FRVR creates music that many have described as striking the right balance between edgy and melodic. His musical style can be attributed to some of the influences he grew up with, including Drake, Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle, and PartyNextDoor.
Currently, PM FRVR is working on an upcoming album, Long Story Short. The album is set to drop later this year. Listeners will get a glimpse of the things the rising artist has been going through as he tells all, including his views on the events that occurred in the last couple of years, how the artist deals with certain situations, his likes, and who he is as an artist.
With fans anticipating the release of Long Story Short, PM decided to drop the visual for “Weather” to fuel their excitement. “Weather” talks about the artist’s clash with someone who didn’t understand that he would change the weather on him or shoot something up, which was where his head was at the time. PM’s opted to drop “Weather” first because he believes its melodic vibe and structure would win new listeners. “It was one of the first songs that I fell in love with,” he added.
PM FRVR views his life as a book, and the music marks the chapters. The release of Long Story Short is only the first chapter, as the artist plans to continue adding more.
