Courtney Netting, the Second Soloist of the Boston Ballet, set the tone for the evening with a breathtaking ballet performance. Her graceful movements and poised execution of her craft created a moment of pure elegance that elevated the entire show. Netting’s performance was a perfect introduction to the stunning fashion that followed, with each segment carrying forward the sense of refinement and culture established by her performance. The audience was transported into a world where fashion was not just seen but felt as part of an immersive experience.
Lamour, who served as both the producer and lead designer of the event, opened the show with a couture collection that was nothing short of spectacular. Defined by dramatic silhouettes, expert tailoring, and intricate embroidery, the collection also featured a dazzling array of jeweled couture pieces that radiated opulence. A striking men’s segment added an unexpected twist, featuring Roman-inspired helmets, shields, and a sculpted silver breastplate—infusing the runway with historical grandeur and theatrical flair. Conrad’s collection was the perfect opening: rich in fashionable drama and unmistakably luxurious, it set a high standard for the evening.
Alongside Lamour’s creations, designers Sylvie Dahi and Renu Gupta brought their own distinctive styles to the show. Sylvie Dahi introduced a luxury African-inspired collection, blending rich cultural heritage with elegant, modern design. Renu Gupta, known for her vibrant, culturally inspired pieces, showcased a luxury collection with an Indian flair, infusing the runway with bold colors and intricate detailing. Together, their contributions added depth and diversity, creating a balanced and dynamic showcase that beautifully merged tradition with innovation, leaving the audience in awe.
The professional polish of the event was enhanced by the expert styling and beauty artistry provided by The Collective Hair & Makeup School. Independent lead makeup artist Yuliya Maniatouskaya worked closely with Lamour to design the evening’s signature makeup looks, which were as sophisticated as they were striking. Second lead hairstylist Dziyana Hanakova crafted flawless hairstyles that complemented each ensemble, ensuring that every model was perfectly styled from head to toe. Representing The Collective, lead educator Brianna Rego and her talented team oversaw the styling process, making sure that every detail, from makeup to hair, reflected the refined and luxurious aesthetic of the event.
“Since our beginnings on Newbury Street in 2011, Boston En Vogue has been about creating a platform for artistry and luxury,” said Lamour. “Partnering with the Boston Ballet, The Collective Hair & Makeup School, and our long-standing partners like Mercedes-Benz, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Monteverde Restaurant, and Vintage Restaurant allowed us to elevate the experience for both designers and attendees alike.” Lamour’s words reflect the event’s mission to showcase not just fashion, but an entire lifestyle centered on art, culture, and high-end design.
