Vakhtangi Shatirishvili: A Role Model for Aspiring Entrepreneurs in Georgia

Vakhtangi Shatirishvili is an accomplished entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to various industries in Georgia. With a wealth of experience and a strong educational background, he has been able to build a successful career and establish several companies. 

Vakhtangi Shatirishvili’s educational journey began at the Ilia Chavchavadze Lagodekhi Primary School, where he received his primary education from 1996 to 2007. He then attended Professional Programme in Public Administration at the University of Georgia from 2007 to 2009. In 2012, he graduated from the same university with a Bachelor’s degree. 

His career started as an intern at the Legal Department of the Chancellor of the Government of Georgia in 2012. He then worked as an Assistant Director at the Law School of the University of Georgia in the same year. After that, he served as the Executive Director of the Business Law Training Center until 2013. 

In September 2012, Vakhtangi Shatirishvili founded the publishing house – “World of Lawyers”, where he currently serves as the Founding Director. He also holds the position of Executive Director at Autograph publishing house since November 2014. Vakhtang Shatirishvili’s most significant contribution to the business world was made in April 2018, when he founded Shatiri Global LLC, where he is currently the Founding Director. He also established the Winery “Shatiri” in the same year. 

He is a member of the Georgian Farmers’ Association since April 2018. He also served as a member of the executive board of the Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association from 2015 to 2016.

Vakhtang Shatirishvili has taken several courses and trainings to hone his skills and enhance his knowledge. In 2021, he attended the joint training “Digitalize your business”, organized by GeoLab, the United Nations Development Fund, and the European Union. He also attended the “Wine tasting course” at the Ana Godabrelidze Wine School in 2020. In 2019, he completed the 2nd level of the “Viticulture and Winemaking” training organized by the Georgian Wine Guild. He is also a certified export manager under the “Produce in Georgia” program, which he accomplished in 2019. 

He has also taken various courses in different fields such as agriculture, rescue operations, and passed Election Administration Officials Certification Exams. Vakhtang Shatirishvili is proficient in various computer programs such as Microsoft office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. 

On May 12-13, 2023 Vakhtangi Shatirishvili will be a participant and trade representative in the 2nd Annual Saperavi Festival in Finger Lakes, NY. He plans to showcase 12 wine companies from Georgia whose wine is not yet imported in the USA. His main objective for the festival is to assist these companies in finding an exporter by representing the wine produced by them. His participation in the festival highlights his dedication to promoting Georgian wine and supporting local businesses. Through his involvement, he hopes to make a positive impact on the wine industry and facilitate the exportation of Georgian wine to America. 

Vakhtangi Shatirishvili’s story serves as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs in Georgia and beyond. His educational background, coupled with his experience and commitment to excellence, has enabled him to establish successful companies and make significant contributions to various industries.
