Neon Pony: How the world is crazy for this HyBrid DJ

Once in a while and if you are paying attention you can be swept off your feet by a gust of wind into a horizon of unfamiliar territory that leaves you spellbound and inspired. Chastity Ashley aka Neon Pony is exactly that and a whole lot more. This bright beacon hailing from Northeast Los Angeles comes swinging full force with eloquence, depth and edge that has yet to be seen.

In this modern-day audience, particularly generation Z and Millenials which tend to be exceedingly turned off by one talent or genre, Neon Pony lends no room to this as she transcends genres and stereotypes alike. Her embedded Latina roots shine as her poignant ambient beats whisk you to another dimension, and this is how she has managed to exponentially increase her fanbase in such a short time. Playing on world stages such as Ultra Music Festival to Coachella and with some of the greatest artists of our time (Duran Duran to Kanye West) it has now led to this moment for her to take center stage.

Her debut single as Neon Pony entitled “Speak Your Heart” radiates pure sensuality with her incredibly powerful voice. Many before only knew her as a drummer and percussionist so this is bound to blow them away. She carves her way through the track with a whimsical prowess that only has you longing for more while creating the exact escape from our everyday lives that we all seek.

And just when you thought she was already doing it all, it turns out that she is also a hybrid DJ that sings and plays drums and percussion simultaneously, all while creating a landscape of sounds that leaves you breathless. With a triple threat like this, we’re left wondering where this unicorn has been hiding, and why this appears to be only the beginning of the continued elevation from this powerhouse.

As the digital climate continues to evolve it is clear that it will require innovation and hard work from those who wish to stay on top. One thing is for sure, however the music space changes, it is certain that Neon Pony will be there, leading the charge.
