Music Artist DFA IB May Be the New Face of New Jersey

There’s a new face within New Jersey’s hip-hop scene, and it’s slowly revolutionizing the industry. Emerging music artist DFA IB is an impactful and influential rapper representing the Garden State worldwide.

Based in New Jersey, DFA IB, or IB, as his fans fondly call him, has mapped out his future within the music business at a young age.

“Ever since I could remember, anytime I got asked what I wanted to be, it was either an NFL player or a rapper. After years in the field trading the turf for the concrete on the daily, growing up, I decided to take music seriously,” he explained.

Arduous days laboring under the sun and only finding rest in music inspired the thought of using sound not only as an outlet but as his key toward financial freedom and success. With his mind made up, DFA IB began to invest and perfect his craft.

His lyrical skills, anchored on his experiences and his commitment to building connections with his listeners, became IB’s music foundation and signature.

“A lot of musicians make up stories of what they think people want to hear, especially in rap music,” he shared. Setting himself apart from these artists, DFA IB approaches his sound from an authentic standpoint instead of a commercial one.

“I actually live what I rap about,” he continued. “Every song and everything I rap about is an obstacle I’ve overcome; being real with myself, my music and time, and my fans are important to me because you can feel my pain and my story.”

Carrying authenticity and cleansing the industry from pretenses and facades, DFA IB established his label DFA Music Group. Under the group, he made his highly anticipated debut last March 3, 2021. The track “Hold On” has attracted hundreds of views on popular streaming platforms and perfectly encapsulates IB’s unique brand.

Having cemented the rapper’s reputation as a veritable game-changer, “Hold On” gained DFA IB a devoted following which only grew in number following the subsequent release of “The Lango” on March 20, 2021.

Shot with the same crew in his debut single, the Hometown Hero Films, “The Lango” showcases fun cinematography and dim lighting seamlessly complementing the song’s themes. Much like “Hold On,” “The Lango” welcomed listeners into IB’s world, revealing every nook and cranny of his past and his personality through his sound.

Furthering his legacy as New Jersey’s hip-hop representative, DFA IB recently dropped his hard-hitting track “9:73PM,” featuring the talented Bundles FVG. Although premiered only days ago, on May 29, 2021, “9:73PM” captured attention on media platforms.

With the phenomenal collaboration of two of the 21st century’s best rappers, three minutes are barely enough for the ravenous listeners. Fans of both DFA IB and Bundles FVG are hoping for upcoming projects between artists that explore genuine and authentic experiences.

As listeners await news on IB’s future collaborations and activities, fans content themselves by replaying DFA IB’s released tracks and reminding themselves that the rapper continuously improves his craft and strives for new heights within the industry.

Half a decade from now, the hip-hop artist of New Jersey will be gracing award shows and lining his shelves with gold. Not only within the Garden State but DFA IB will also be recognized as the face of the international hip-hop scene, carrying an inspiring success story, “showing others that look up to me that if you dream and believe in yourself, anything can happen.”
