A voice that once resonated across venues, theaters, and churches throughout the United States, Luca Sormani, is set to mark his 30th birthday this year. As we commemorate this significant milestone, we explore the trajectory of his mesmerizing career, and the obstacles he faces as he prepares to step back into a world now dominated by social media.

From humble beginnings

Born in the historic city of Parma, Italy, Sormani spent his formative years in Peru before migrating to Los Angeles at the tender age of twelve. It was here that his vocal prowess, unbeknownst to him, was discovered by his high school choir teacher, Joy Devlin. Recognizing the potential in his budding baritone voice, Devlin undertook the responsibility of training Sormani, which led him to perform at various city festivals.

A Vocal Powerhouse

A significant turning point in Sormani’s career came in 2009 when he auditioned for the esteemed National Episcopal Opera Competition, securing his first accolade. By this time, his distinct voice had caught the attention of his pastors who presented him to the congregation. His captivating performances held the audience spellbound, paving the way for a ten-year-long tour across churches and evangelical crusades throughout the United States.

However, Sormani’s journey took a different turn in 2019 following a disagreement that led to his departure from the Evangelical movement. It was during this time that he crossed paths with Maxwell David, a renowned vocal coach and artist manager. David recognized Sormani’s talent and decided to manage his career, leading to a shift in his audience base. He introduced Sormani to the world of social media, exposing his talent to a broader and more diverse audience.

The year 2021 saw the release of Sormani’s debut single, “Lovers and Sinners,” which quickly became a favorite among his fans. However, shortly after, he took a hiatus from his musical career upon meeting real estate mogul, Joseph Ramani. Currently, Sormani is the Design and Operations Director at Ramani’s company.
