June Amore’s Journey to Creating Now or Next Entertainment, the One-Stop Shop for Creative Individuals

The entertainment industry is chock-full of talented individuals, but it is also one of the most difficult to break into. June Amore lives and breathes creativity, embarking on several outlets where he can express himself freely. Looking to help fellow creatives find the same freedom, June founded Now or Next Entertainment.

For as long as he could remember, June Amore had always wanted to join the entertainment industry. He was especially fond of film and writing. So when he completed high school, he went to community college. Ideally, he would have enrolled in a film school in Los Angeles, but the young creative lacked the funds to accomplish that goal. He later withdrew from community college to help his family. However, the roadblock meant nothing as the Westchester native was determined to arm himself with knowledge of the film industry by any means necessary. June instead reached out to current students and staff, gathering the resources needed to accomplish his goal. He looked up the books that were given in film school and taught himself how to make films.

June took the first steps toward his dream by moving back to New York, prepared to undergo his journey into stardom. However, he ended up taking an unexpected detour into photography. Although it was not exactly what June had in mind, he managed to succeed as a photographer, shooting with some of the biggest names in entertainment and even opening his own studio. Despite his new venture, June’s passion for writing never stopped calling. While he was in high demand, the talented photographer called it in and shifted his focus to scriptwriting and filmmaking. It was during this venture that he founded Now or Next Entertainment.

Now or Next Entertainment is a one-stop shop for music, books, and films, prioritizing the creatives above all else. “Some of my close friends are musicians and are signed to labels with contracts that are very slave-like,” June explained. “I figured, how can I make their dream apart from my own dream? So I started reading and watching films for research, then it hit me. A lot of films also have a very good soundtrack. So I ended up signing my artist and bundled their tracks with my film scripts. My artist got a 60/40 split and connections through the brands I deal with, so they receive film and/or commercial placements while, in a way, remaining independent.”

While his passion has been a strong driving force to create his brand, June Amore cites his father as another source of inspiration. An inventor, his father was constantly exercising his creativity and making something new. After a major toy company purchased and rebranded his toy, Bibby the Racing Horse, June saw how much it hurt his father. To avoid a similar situation, June read and received counsel. His father would always tell him, “Don’t be like me. Learn from me and be great.” Since then, June has always stood by those words.

June Amore has endured so much, like sleeping in his truck while working on his first film and writing his script in the middle of a snowstorm. Despite all the trials and tribulations that came his way, June finally made his mark. With the momentum going full swing in the direction he always hoped for, the all-around creative is enthusiastic about the future of his career. He foresees Now or Next Entertainment joining the Oscars and Grammys. However, June has never let his visions get in the way of reality as he looks to give back to his community. He hopes to provide the next generation with a chance to express their creativity by offering a film class and many other activities.
